Adam
St Louis just signed a monster deal with Tampa.Six years for $31.5 million.I don't see how the Bolts can keep Vinny, Marty AND Richards after next year when Richards is up for a new contract!Richards is just as good if not better than the latter two! IMO in the long run Richards will be the highest scorer within that group. Andy
Big props to the Tampa GM to retain St. Louis and Lecavilier. That's huge. Long term deals, too.

The Caps acquired Chris Clark from the Flames a while ago for a draft pick ... Clark was a restricted free agent and still needed to sign a contract for this year.Roberto Luongo awarded a one-year, $3.2 million contract by an arbitrator: TSN.ca. HatCityEnforcer
Meanwhile, more moves from the Garden...Rangers keep it in house by re-upping Martin Grenier and Alex Giroux. No complaints about either of these guys seeing they've done well in the A since coming to the org.Still, when your top off-season moves are signing Marty Straka and trading for Steve Rucchin, it's hard to have serious faith about a Cup run...At this point, not finishing in the Atlantic basement is what I hope for....but at least this time, it'll be KIDS wearing a Rangers sweater getting their brains beat in night in and night out instead of some overpaid vets. All this time I've wanted the NYR to rebuild from within...wellp, I got my wish FANTASY TEAMSHousatonic U. wheateater
Dunham, Cechmanek and Irbe are still out there......... Again, Cechmanek is no longer available -- he's playing in a Czech league. He probably could still come back to the NHL, but I wouldn't want anyone to have to go through that experience...all that flopping and poke-checking....always out of position...makes a guy wanna have explosive diarrhea instead of him in net.
