Maybe this is new, maybe not (and, yes, I did search the boards first), but watching USC and Hawaii, I thought the reciever from Hawaii had a funky knee brace, but it was too high on his leg...then another...then another. The Warriors have a diamond-patterned band around the left pant leg of their jerseys--the left leg only. What is up with that?

(And BTW, is there anything more fun than watching USC's offense? Besides sex, I mean...)

I think it has to do something with polanesian tribal symbols or something. Many of the tatoos that they get have a diamond pattern so that would be my guess. I could be wrong though. And is it just me or is part of the Hawaii team waering black helmets and the other part wearing green helmets?

The Kapa'a is the polynesian symbol for royalty. The left leg Kapa'a and the left shoulder kapa'a are to show respect to the polynesian kings and its a royal factor.

The silver helmets are road games only and the Dark green helmets are home games.
