swooshmd
I kind of dig them. Especially Buffalo, Minnesota, Chicago, and Calgary. I think the red looks pretty smooth. I'd enjoy more individual team colors, but it is what it is, I suppose.
RangerJas
Hi all,I've been lurking around for some time and enjoy this site.I saw the new NHL practice jerseys at BC Sports Collectibles in Amherst, N.Y. I'll be honest, they really looked great. They had a NY Rangers one in white, with the liberty/NYR logo. The material is better than the stuff on the authentic Koho/CCMs.If I remember correctly, the Rangers have another one with the traditional "RANGERS" logo as well. What I liked even more was that the price was cheaper ($75), compared to what the NHL Store is charging ($99). ElwoodCuse
Ha, they still have the old NHL shield on them.
stpmn
The old NHL shield is on the new practice sweaters because they were made for the 2004-05 season that wasn't played. Some teams have the new shield on the practice sweaters if they had ordered extra shirts within the last 2 1/2 months.
Bombhunter
First and second pictures, top row...They have reflective piping that glows when a picture is taken of them with a flash. Not sure why, but it's pretty cool none the less...
VitaminD
Better question: they're practice jerseys. Meant to be worn while practicing. Why go to the trouble of fancy stripes, reflective piping and all? I know the obvious answer is because they sell them, and people are going to buy them. But they'd buy just about anything if you told them it was authentic, like the pros wear. The extra effects are just needless IMO. "Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today... Won't get to be a part of it... In old New York..."In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17. Frankie
I just ordered the Canadiens white version.I really like it, even though it is pricey. I've seen a couple around town, and they look sharp in people walking down the street.

Roger Clemente
Anyone have pics of these? What kind of numbers are on the back? Don't practice jerseys normally never have numbers? I know some do, but I don't think it's a majority.--Roger "Time?" Clemente. Follow me on Twitter if you care: @Animal_Clans.My opinion may or may not be the same as yours. The choice is up to you. VitaminD
Don't practice jerseys normally never have numbers? I know some do, but I don't think it's a majority.--Roger "Time?" Clemente. Most of the ones I've seen don't have numbers. The jerseys used to be given out with certain lines practicing in the same color (usually not a team color - Flyers in blue, Penguins in green, etc.). Since lines get mixed and matched often, I can't think it makes a lot of sense to add numbers. But maybe some teams do.A better question even yet is why anybody would shell out $75 to $100 for a practice jersey. You're right. That is a better question. Yet people buy BP hats and BP jerseys in baseball, and shooting shirts from the NBA. There's no accounting for taste... "Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today...
