DGivens87
The Pawtucket Red Sox (AAA) are celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Longest Game in Professional Baseball between them and Rochester Red Wings. They've got this logo, and are wearing as a patch as well. Even though they are the hometown team, I'm not a huge fan...they could've done much better. meetthemets
The logo is kind of lame, as is the event they're celebrating. A patch commemorating the longest game? What's next, a patch for the game with the most foul balls?
LuvTheNats
Talk about pointless....jesus....Ohhh...Hold on!!! The White Sox need a patch commemorating 27th anniversary of Disco Demolition Night!!!!!
OnWis97
Looks like a tribue to Jason VaritekHe's #33 right? Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse." pcgd
Talk about pointless....jesus....Ohhh...Hold on!!! The White Sox need a patch commemorating 27th anniversary of Disco Demolition Night!!!!! That's funny cause they made a big deal out of it around here 2 years ago when it was the 25th anniversary. Well, not the Sox but radio and TV and Steve Dahl certainly did. DGivens87
Well, in defense of the PawSox, the whole 33-inning affair was, and still is, a big deal here, although whether it warrants a patch or not is debatable. I think the design is subpar, and yeah, the "33" looks like a tribute to Jason Varitek. A large cheese pizza, just for me.New England's source for soccer newsAnd hey, I made it to ESPN! Gothamite
Very silly. And not in the charming Minor League whimsical sense, either. Just dumb.Since the patch doesn't mention it, can I presume that they lost the game? The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog. ProvidenceRI
The game was an incredible feat and took 3 days to complete. Not to mention, Wade Boggs and Cal Ripken played in the game.Anything that happens in RI gets no respect. DGivens87
Here's a pic of the patch on the jersey...Still a horribly executed design...there are MULTIPLE LOGOS IN THE LOGO! UGH! Brian in Boston
I attended the game in question. A buddy of mine and I had tickets to the original April 18th game. We stayed until the game was called in the early morning hours of April 19th. Then, we were back in the stands at McCoy when play was resumed on June 23rd. NDwas
Even as an Orioles fan, I see no use in commemorating this game with a PATCH. Soon they'll be commemorating major league debuts every Sunday...Why don't they just go all-out and put the C for on it too? Tomorrow's just your future yesterday.
