RollWolfpack Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 Hello everyone. I don't know how well mascots should be trusted for jersey speculations, however, looking through a friends facebook, I noticed pictures of Mr. and Mrs. Wuf, the mascots for NC State University. However, the basketball uniform Mr. Wuf was wearing was quite different that past years uniforms, and I'm thinking this could quite possibly be a new uniform.Along with that, NC State used to always outfit their mascots in generic wolfpack jerseys for football and basketball. Roughly 2 years ago, when the wolfpack unveiled new football jerseys, Mr. Wuf began wearing adidas. The same is true for basketball. Also, last season's basketball shorts and jerseys are on sale at both on and off campus bookstores. I may be reading too much into this, but with a new coach and updated logo, I'd think the team would be introducing new uniformsPossible new basketball uniform?Generic Wolfpack basketball jerseyAdidas Wolfpack football jerseyGeneric Wolfpack football jerseyRoll Wolfpack!Wes
HatManTC Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 doesnt look too different from what the current uni's look like.only difference i see is the stripe at the top of the shoulder by RoscoeUA by gingerbreadman
MJWalker45 Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 They wore that jersey 2 years ago when adidas had all their squads carry that stupid stripe on the jerseys
RollWolfpack Posted October 29, 2006 Author Posted October 29, 2006 Alright, I was wrong earlier about the type of jersey that NC State would be wearing this year. However, they are wearing new jerseys.2005-2006 Jersey2006-2007 JerseyIn my opinion, a downgrade...I appreciate new coach Sidney Lowe looking back to program's better years, however, in my opinion these jerseys just look sloppy.
aykay Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 I appreciate new coach Sidney Lowe looking back to program's better years, however, in my opinion these jerseys just look sloppy.Rocky Dennis looks like a tough defender.
OB33 Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 2006-2007 JerseyThat's terrible, if you're not going to put the logo on the collar, just don't put it on. This is like Donald Driver having the NFL Equipment logo on his jersey. Just here it's for everyone and it clutters up the jersey far, far too much. #CHOMPCHOMPCHOMP
DG_YouKnowWhatThatMeans Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 I'm all for traditional styles and think the switch back to a regular-style jersey is a good choice.I agree, however, that the NC State logo clutters things. Perhaps it would look better on the back? 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags

Perhaps it would look better on the back?Either put it on the back or just leave it on the shorts and not put it on the jersey. Is it me or is the number font on that replica jersey different than the font in the red/white scrimmage? Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.
leedsunited Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 I like it. Looks a helluva lot better than last years.
HurricaneDavid Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 What's driven me nuts about NC State jerseys in the past is that the numbers on the back have been positioned too low - as if whoever put them on thought there should be a name above them, even though NC State doesn't put names on their bball jerseys.
walkdesign Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 Seriously... did they just grab some moak pathetic white guy from the stands and say "just look like our guarding him, it will make us look imposing"I appreciate new coach Sidney Lowe looking back to program's better years, however, in my opinion these jerseys just look sloppy.Rocky Dennis looks like a tough defender.
