First Concept - HS Football Team

My name is Brace and I am new to this site. I am an avid Photoshop user so I thought I would give stuff a try out. Thanks goes out to nyy3351 who helped me get started tonight.

The helmet logo is too busy, and you don't incorperate enough gold into the uniform to have a gold helmet. Maybe try it with a darker blue.

Not bad, but I have a few suggestions.

- Logo overkill. Try to either change the sleeve logos, or maybe just limiting the crusader to just the sleeves or just the back. Maybe try replacing the sleeve logos with numerals or something.

- Needs more gold. Try adding a gold pant set or gold to the socks.

- Thicker lines, both outlining the numerals and separating the yoke from the rest. This'll also help to add more gold.

- As Avery said, a darker blue wouldn't hurt. It'll also help to compliment the gold that needs to be added. But, hey, if that's the school's colours, that's what you should use.

Not a bad concept, especially for a relative newbie (who am I to call someone a newbie?! )

I agree with what most of the people have said. add more gold, thicker outlines, limit the use of the logo.

One thing I did notice, is that the logo on the sleeves and helmet are facing the opposite way, which doesn't look right.

Can I get that back of that template rasterized? I can't seem to find it with the helmet on the back.

I agree with the busy-ness of the helmet logo. I dont know if that school has maybe a different logo, I would think something of just the knights head, or just the shield in his hand, would work better I think.

Thanks for the replies. I will try to change that up tonight or something if i got time. Since I had the day off of school today, I decided to bring back our school's old Helmet and bright yellow back in the days when we won 3 straight titles. I like this uniform a lot better than last night.

You took the words right outta my mouth. Maybe try a Bucs kinda look with one logo on the helmet and a different, but equally as good on the sleeves.

That looks amazing, but I still think you have too many logos. I think you should lose the shoulder logos. The shoulders are a bit crowded, and if you take them off, it'll look alot cleaner.

Very nice. I would think outside the box. Perhaps creating a knights helmet using the football helmet. I liked the Vegas gold instead of the yellow being used. But great first effort.

buckeyes - Everything is all freehand on the piping

gueman - Yea, the first colors w/ the Vegas Gold and Royal Blue are my schools present colors for football. The newer 3 concepts I used the yellow and blue along w/ the old helmet that our school used about 10 years back.

The "retro" set is much better than the first set in my opinion. I agree with most everyone else saying that helmet is too busy, but I'm nut much of a fan of the nickname being spelled out either. Perhaps you could just use the head of the knight in the logo as the helmet logo. That would make the helmet less busy and cleaner.

While I am a fan of shoulder logos, I think you should get rid of them. Perhaps you could replace them with shoulder numbers if it looks too bare.

The logo on the side of the pants is fine, although I'd flip it so it faces the front. I don't like the strips going to the front of the thigh just seems out of place to me. Also do you have side panels going up on the jerseys? I know your template doesn't have that view, but I'd add that so it the "spike" on the pants blend into the rest of the uniform instead of just being there.
