SealMan10
Can anyone confirm that the Nationals will still have the circle DC patch on this years red alternate jersey? I ordered a Ryan Zimmerman custom Authentic alternate jersey from from the MLBshop and the first thing I noticed was the lack of a sleeve patch. I called them and the guy was clearly clueless and said they did not have a patch. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. I hate the fact that I put down $200 and it not really be authentic.
Mings
I actually had the same thing happen a couple years ago when I ordered a Reds Authentic Alt. It was right after the switch from Russell to Majestic so I got the Russell Authentic for 70 bucks I think. It was supposed to have Mr. Red on the sleeve, but it didn't. The rest of the jersey is fine, so I said screw it, only I will know the difference.Since you spent 200, I would make damn sure its right.
FiddySicks
I ordered an Eric Byrnes authentic A's alt a few years ago for about that same price and when I got it it was missing the front number and the name. I called the MLBshop and told them it was clearly wrong and only the BPs were name and front numberless. The lady was insistant that the A's had removed the names and front numbers for the upcoming season and that it was fine. I calmly took her explanation and asked for a full refund of the jersey AND the shipping and assured her if they didnt I would most certanly be a thorn in her side for as long as it took. She began to dig deeper, found out they made the mistake, and sent me a new jersey as soon as I sent the old one back and even gave me a 10% discount. So if its wrong call them up and make sure they know they messed up. They should be pretty open to satisfying your wants, and if theyre reluctant at first, be politely pushy and theyll eventually fix their own mistake. BBTV
Well they removed the DC from the bp caps, so maybe it is really gone for good. Someone with inside info *logohound* *pantone* could confirm. Don't start bitching until you are certain you are correct (then do what bucfan said.) On the red alternate it's supposed to have the "Washington Nationals" patch.
SealMan10
Thanks for the info. It sounds like I need to push further on this matter.
LogoHound
No problem but, I am thinking there is another inconsistency with the style guides versus actual jerseys. You said that the '06 alt had the DC logo right? Well, the guide shows that the '06 alt had the same "Washington Nationals" patch (above). It also shows a gold stripe between the 2 blue ones on sleeves. Which the jerseys for sale on mlb.com have a red one.
Don
im watching a Nationals classic game on MASN right now and theyre wearing their red alts, and it has the blue DC logo patch that youre wanting. so for it to be a true authentic, it needs that patch.
