Billy B Posted March 9, 2008 Share Posted March 9, 2008 The primary logo looks like the Washington Monument, if anything else it looks like a pencil but the first thing I see is the Washington Monument. It doesn't really look like Korbyn sees, I think that might just be the teenage boy in him showing.I don't really have any ideas for improving the secondary. However, this is pretty much an unavoidable problem if you use that Obelisk on the Mall for the logo. Maybe another landmark would be better in that regard (yes, you lose the pun, but it still makes sense from an abstract perspective.)I think the Secondary logo could afford to lose the "D.C." and have the W centered.What sport is this logo for? Sorry to be so harsh, but it seems really uninspired. I just think that no team uses the washington monument as a logo cuz, well, it's boring. So maybe you aren't at fault for making such a boring logo...it's hard to make the Washington monument exciting. And guys, it was funny how you sort of ignored Korbyn's lackluster attempt at a sexual joke/comment. What does this look like to you guys? Um...a pencil? Lol. Dribbble ... This looks pretty clean to me, like illustrator. I hope you have some ideas on how to improve it because I'm at a loss. It's just difficult to make a very bland monument flashy. Dribbble ... cappital92 Posted March 9, 2008 Share Posted March 9, 2008 The actual monument is more of a sand-cream for the bottom 60%, then off-white for the rest. Try that, and a red dot at the top to resemble the flashing light up top. This brings back memories of back in late '04. The Post had a Washington Monuments concept for the then-Washington Expos with sand-cream pants, a off-white jersey, and a pyramid shaped hat with a flashing red button on top of the crown.
