infrared41 Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Anybody watching the Final? This has been a pretty well played baseball game, and of course the crowd has been great. Plus, it's a Japan/Korea game, and unlike the past 3 times they've played, this one's for the championship. This has been a pretty exciting game.Couldn't agree more. I think the WBC has been great overall. I really don't understand why some of the media has been so down on it.
Swiss Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 What a helluva game... tied 3 apiece... and it's going for more emotion. It's great to be young and a Giant! - Larry Doyle
Cujo Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 What a helluva game... tied 3 apiece... and it's going for more emotion.Maybe this one will go 6 OTs like the game we had last week... (This Ichiro at-bat is taking FOREVER!!)
TFoA Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Ichiro may have just clinched a repeat for the Japanese with a clutch 2 run double.Have I mentioned that Ichiro is one of my favorite all-time players to watch? That guy is just great to watch.

NJTank Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 I think Japan has proven its baseball league is a very good league, it may not be MLB but its not far off. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
Breakwood Posted March 24, 2009 Author Posted March 24, 2009 Damn, the Blue Jays should seriously look at some of those Korean players. I can't see them needing overly expensive salaries, and they would help draw big crowds here.Congrats to Japan on the repeat. Great game.
TFoA Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Did anybody catch how SportsCenter did the highlights for this one? They basically did it youtube-style, no anchors, no generic music (sorry, Epiphianic (sic)) just the video of what happened.I actually liked it better that way.

JayJaxon Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 It's good to see Ichiro come around. I didn't go to this game, but the two semi-final games were great.
The_Admiral Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 The US baseball team and baseball culture is a bunch of babies. Real men play baseball in Asia, not America.Oh my God. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
