So I just got done watching DR/NED II on the MLB Network...and lmao @ the ending. Playing music reminiscent to Mankind's pre-WWF title win after the Netherlands won is kind of weird to say the least.

If anyone has access to, or catches a replay of USA/Ven from Wednesday; watch for Melvin Mora's at bat in the Top of the 3rd - I pick up the foul ball on the first (or second) pitch. Screen grabs would be appreciated :)

I hope by "picked up" the ball, you mean you caught it out of mid-air...without a glove.

So if Team A beats Team B the first time,

then Team B beats Team A to win the group,

Next,

Team A begins second round by facing Pool 2 runner up, Team D

Team B begins second round by facing Pool 2 winner, Team C

Losers of both games face off, loser of that game eliminated.

Winners face off; Winner of game advances to final pool round, loser faces winner of the 1st Elimination game.

Losers again face off; Winner advances to final pool round, loser is eliminated.

Winner of Pool 1 faces loser of Pool 2 in Semifinals;

Loser of Pool 1 faces winner of Pool 2 in Semifinals;

Winner of Semifinals meet in Finals.

:blink:

Wow! I never realized how complicated this was. Still some good baseball to watch though.

There seems to be allot of Mets on Puerto Rico, its hard to root against them.

I guess to add to that, I wasn't too mad at Vazquez's pitching tonight. As long as he brings that come April.

EDIT: 11-1, F/7. O lawd have mercy.

It's time to make Puerto Rico a state.

Bah Puerto Rico should be a state any way

I think Puerto Rican's would disagree.

Cuba put up a stinker today, but I guess it should have been expected. They relied on the long ball, which was easy in Mexico cause of the altitude, but Petco park eats homers for breakfast.

And for the first time in the WBC, we have a case of goodwill gone bad. The Netherlands hit a home run to make it 8-2 USA, and Englehart (sp?) apparently admired his HR too much, so the US pitcher throws behind the next batter and this causes the Netherlands dugout to come out.

If that's an MLB game, the benches are cleared.

Well, the Dutch bench cleared. I don't get how the Dutch manager got a talkin' to, but Lindstrom didn't even get warned.
