FiddySicks
I wonder if the Netherlands win made headlines in Amsterdam, yet?I checked a Dutch newspaper yesterday and honkbal (baseball) was on the home page. Baseball isn't all too popular in the Netherlands, so it's a pretty big deal. I really hope the Dutch and Europeans begin to embrace baseball. In regards to European baseball, BaltimoreFan is right. Spain and Germany are also known for having "good" teams, but definitely not on par with the Netherlands. My best friend growing up had an older brother who played in the German leagues. He was telling me that the leagues there usually compete pretty well with the rest of Europe, but in terms of "good" baseball, it's still pretty terrible. He said that some of the worst baseball he's ever seen was played in the German leagues. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) jkrdevil
Dominican Republic wins 9-0. They will survive to probably take on the Netherlands again (unless they pull another upset) in another elimination game Tuesday. Panama is third team eliminated joining China and Taiwan. US-Venezuela gets underway in about 30 minutes.
CC97
With all of us CCSLCers at these games anyone feel like meeting up during one of the games, possibly to combine up to harass Break-Wood while he's working?By the way I think I saw you....Did you happen to give me a tip about some people drinking on the staircase? If so they indeed had a 40 of some sort of liquor, Thanks!Seriously, you looked like you couldn't care less when I was telling you. --- Chris Creamer Founder/Editor, SportsLogos.Net "The Mothership" • News • Facebook • X/Twitter • Instagram

TFoA
Venezuela is a VERY good team...until you get to their bullpen. You get past their starters and the top of their pen, and they are awful.

TFoA
However...if there's any team that could possibly make up the deficit, it's Venezuela.EDIT: Never mind. They still can't stop the U.S. from scoring. Venezuela's probably done.
FiddySicks
I like how they explained the reason why the USA is wearing the "backwards" flag on their jerseys. I dig. But I still have a question, why is the USA the only team without a jersey sponsor? I understand that USA baseball seemingly has more cash at their disposal than the governments of most of the countries in this tournament, but it only confirms the superiority complex we have going into this tournament. I know it's a really small thing, but it still bugs me. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) TFoA
I got to imagine they will shred South Africa in their next game, or else.Well I didn't see the South Africa-Cuba game...but from Charlie Steiner's account, the only reason why South Africa scored is because Cuba stopped throwing breaking balls in the 9th. The poor bastards, they're going to get killed.EDIT: The Aussies just hit a 3-Run HR. They can win the game in the bottom half of the inning.
