Sharks 7th Man Award

I would post the entry, but I'm waiting for the Sharks to put it up on the website.

If I am commish for a day:

Instigator rule is gone

2-line pass is gone

Hand passes allowed in neutral zone

Goalie is fair game outside crease

Goalie equipment must be measured

Boston and Nashville must redo their alternates!

Sharks unveil vintage jerseys for a vintage night.

Naturally they wouldn't let you make any changes like that

Ok, I can't wait any longer for the team to put it up so here it is, my essay:

Dedication, commitment, honor, pride, and sacrifice--words that describe a San Jose Shark and its favorite fan. Do I bleed teal? Absolutely! Since day one, I have followed this team. From Doug Wilson to Patrick Marleau, and the over 200 guys who have donned the teal sweater (all of which I can name in order of their jersey number), I have been through tough times, to playoff victories that shock the hockey world.

For me, hockey season doesn't end or begin. After a serious knee injury when I was 14, I looked up to my teal heroes for an idea to rehabilitate. I began ice skating, which has lead to ten years of playing hockey. The evolution of the Internet, allowed my artistic ability and vast knowledge of the Sharks into the creation of the Teal Town Zone.

The passion I show for my team can be seen throughout my house. My house has teal trim. Inside my room contains, almost 200 game tapes, which makes the offseason a thing of the past. As a collector of anything Sharks, I have amassed pucks, pictures, over 8,000 cards, and even stat sheets from the broadcasters to make it a ?Sharkive Area?!

To make sure everyone knows where my alliance is, everyday I must wear something bearing a Sharks logo or even teal. Even outside hockey, I give my all in everything I do. It?s something I learned from watching my San Jose Sharks.

Ok guys, I'm back from the Shark Tank. Just came back from watching the Sharks with their morning skate. Afterwards, we were given a complete tour of the Sharks locker room where we met some of the behind the scene guys, along with players Scott Thornton, Curtis Brown, Jim Fahey, and Rob Davison. We got autographs from the guys, and a couple of practice used sticks. Then, we ran into Tim Hunter asked if we're going to the game, asked if I had a suit so I can give Coach Wilson a day off. We then went back to the office where Jaime Stoeckle (Event Presentation Manager and cutie) took us on a no holds barred tour. We went around the storage area (where they store the basketball, lacrosse, and arena football fields. Then we went up top (and I mean way up top) to the other press box, the highest point without being ON the roof. We walked around the cat walk and were literally over the ice. If we dropped anything and it hit the ice, the game would be called because it would've made a major crack. WE proceeded to the control room where anything video and audio along with most of the lights are well...controlled. For the record (in fact I was told to tell the chatters) that no fan noise is pumped into the system. We also saw the big gold button...the imfamous button to the goal horn. Would've set that off, but the clearance for it was not approved. :-P And that was it. Awesome job, I also received an authentic jersey. Why did I get this? Simple, I am your San Jose Sharks 7th Man for 2004. The press release will come late this week or next week. I will be attending the Sharks-Kings game on April 4th to drop the ceremonial puck before the game. Whoo hoo! Sharks 7th Man for 2004!

yeah it was awesome. Plus I got to go to last night's game. I ran into ICS during warmups. Of course, great game! Up 2-0, Calgary came back with 4 minutes left with Vinny Damphousse scoring the GWG with :23.3 left in regulation.
