Jamal Anderson , caught with coke .

And once again, America flips out because someone does something MILLIONS (well, maybe not so much cocaine?) do. Jamal Anderson makes enough money to afford cocaine. I say, good for him.

At what point will we simply learn to look the other way?

Because cocaine is illegal.

So is jaywalking.

Your point? Illegal is illegal. Jamal knew the consequenses of what he was doing. He got caught, he now has to face the consequenses for it. Who chooses what laws we pay attention to, and what laws we simply turn a blind eye to?

Law is law. deal with it.

That is my point. Illegal is illegal. All the :censored:ing jaywalkers need to be locked up too.

Either that, or decriminalize drug use and let the idiots that can't control themselves weed (no pun intended) themselves out.

So there's no degrees of crime. Jaywalking and drug possession and murders should all be delt with with the same punishment?

I'd hate to live in Fiasco!land...

You can't be serious.

Like JQK said, illegal is illegal. Learn to live with it. Millions of people steal stuff from stores. Does that make it right? Absolutely not. Our country shouldn't start to bend rules just because "MILLIONS" of people do something. He broke the law and deserves to be locked up, just like every other drug user who's been caught.

This is why there are different punishments to fit the crime. Jaywalking = ticket and a slap on the wrist, Murder = jail time for a long while, doing coke and getting caught? = deservedly losing your job, fines, probably probation in Jamal's case.

ESPN has an image to uphold. You can't put cokeheads on TV, plain and simple.

Does ESPN still employ Michael Irvin?

I don't think so, but he does have a reality show coming up this offseason.

Hmmm...isn't national media reporting the rest of the story? If so, surprised no one has commented. See, Jamal wasn't just "caught with coke." He was allegedly caught snorting coke off the toilet tank in a bathroom stall, and he was in there with a 20-year-old guy, all of this at 3AM in the men's room of an Atlanta dive called the Peachtree Tavern. Seems a bit odd.

Anderson, 36, and Mark Daniel Hudson, 20, both of Duluth, were in the same stall inside the men?s room at Peachtree Tavern about 3 a.m. Sunday, snorting powder cocaine off the toilet tank, police spokesman Otis Redmond said.

People who say, "What's the big deal?" if a guy's on drugs just don't make any sense to me. You want your surgeon to be a cokehead? Your airline pilot? Maybe you're just jaded because so many people have these problems, I don't know. But I do know that successful people don't do drugs, and if they start, their success doesn't last long. If you really don't think it's that big a deal, how about throwing out some examples of happy endings, or of sustained success, where drug abuse was involved? Funny, I can't think of any.

Sure, there's hypocrisy - alcohol and prescription drugs come to mind - but the bottom line is that abusing any of these things ends up being a quick shortcut to the bottom of the barrel.

Funny , 1 st and 10 , a show that Jamal USED to appear on , not a mention. ESPN bottom ticker is saying that Jamal USED to be a NFL analyst for them.

Bet Jamal is sending Alex Rodriguez a than you note for taking the Headline's and the all the sports nations focus off of , Jamal's stupidness.

Some people just can't stand success , and will do any thing to and every thing to make themselves a failure .
