Like JQK said, illegal is illegal. Learn to live with it. Millions of people steal stuff from stores. Does that make it right? Absolutely not. Hmmm...isn't national media reporting the rest of the story? If so, surprised no one has commented. See, Jamal wasn't just "caught with coke." He was allegedly caught snorting coke off the toilet tank in a bathroom stall, and he was in there with a 20-year-old guy, all of this at 3AM in the men's room of an Atlanta dive called the Peachtree Tavern. Seems a bit odd.

People who say, "What's the big deal?" if a guy's on drugs just don't make any sense to me. You want your surgeon to be a cokehead? Your airline pilot? Maybe you're just jaded because so many people have these problems, I don't know. But I do know that successful people don't do drugs, and if they start, their success doesn't last long. If you really don't think it's that big a deal, how about throwing out some examples of happy endings, or of sustained success, where drug abuse was involved? Funny, I can't think of any.

Sure, there's hypocrisy - alcohol and prescription drugs come to mind - but the bottom line is that abusing any of these things ends up being a quick shortcut to the bottom of the barrel.
