When Pronger was first traded to the Flyers, he was listed on the roster as #25, and Matt Carle had been switched to #20. Today, those numbers flip-flopped. A press conference is tentatively scheduled for next week to introduce the new Flyers, so I guess we'll see what the actual truth is then. I would imagine that Boucher would keep his #33, and Laperriere would keep his #14 (or #22, which he's worn before), because they're both available. I'm just really anxious to see what Pronger's # is going to be, because I already ordered his jersey, and I want to make sure I get the right # on it.

Laperriere probably gets 14 if he wants it, but for the moment that's actually Andreas Nodl's number.

Anyone have confirmation of Kopecky and Hossa's numbers? Usually those team websites don't change their numbers when they're first listed. Hossa may go back to 18 and Kopecky back to 28.

Ray Emery chooses 29 because 1's retired.

the Blackhawks confirmed it via their official Twitter page @ twitter.com/NHLblackhawks

Also #18 is retired for Denis Savard

Yeah, I remember Nodl wearing #14 in his time with the Flyers last year, but they've got him wearing #15 in the upcoming prospects camp. They've also got JVR wearing his #21, so I think they tend to give the guys who have a legit shot of making the big club the actual number they'd be wearing. I think this is their way of saying #14 is no longer yours, Andreas.

Here's the full list of Flyers prospects participating in their prospects camp next week, if anybody cares:

Also, Pronger takes 20 with the Flyers. Carle gets to keep his 25 it seems.

http://blogs.courierpostonline.com/flyers/...-to-wear-no-20/

When the Flyers introduce Chris Pronger to the media on Monday he?ll pull oin a sweater with the No. 20 on the back.

Pronger wore No. 25 in Anaheim and Flyers defenseman Matt Carle was willing to give up his jersey number, but according to Flyers PR wiz Zack Hill, Pronger said he wanted to try No. 20 as ?a new beginning.?

Why No. 20, which was most famously worn by former captain Dave Poulin?

According to Hill, Pronger let his kids pick the number and they chose 20.
