BlueSky
My one question on Fav-ruh for Vikes fans is whether you think all this will last the entire season. His pattern the last few years is to take off big but fade over the top about 3/4 through then to crash and burn late in the season. Is that what's coming? I will be shocked as hell if Favre can keep this up. Like I said earlier, he's doing a great job right now, but the mid-or-third-quarter-of-the-season collapse is almost inevitable. Sguse1
Its different though, remember that this team has Adrian Peterson, Chester Taylor, Percy Harvin and Bernard Berrian. Its not on Favre. He is simply a piece and will step up to win games only if he has to. Last night he had to step up. Next week against the Rams? I think Adrian will get back on track. Its a push pull team. They have too many playmakers to have Brett flame out.

The big difference between the Vikes this year and the Jets of last year, and the Pack of the last few years of Favre's time in Green Bay is that Favre has an elite RB next to him. Favre doesn't have to do it all this time around. Also through the year the passing game will be a touch easier, as defenses will be a bit less certain about what the game plan is. So Favre will have a slightly easier year. Whether or not he can lead the Vikes all the way, I am not sure, but I do think the playoffs are a good possibility. 2011/12 WFL Champions
Jigga
I was just reading a column by Peter King on SI's website and he mentioned Bill Cowher. Seeing that reminded me of how in 2006 I said right here on these boards that Cowher was done for good. He was pulling a Madden and walking away. Many people here told me I was nuts. Cowher was only taking a year off and then he'd be back on the sideline. It's 2009 folks. Bill Cowher is still sitting in the studio at CBS every Sunday. By my count (unless he gets hired in the next few weeks) that's three seasons now. Come to think of it, you rarely, if ever, even hear his name come up for a coaching vacancy these days. So I guess the question now is does anyone still think he's coming back?Just sayin'... Daniel M. Snyder On January 16, 2013 at 3:49 PM, NJTank said: Btw this is old hat for Notre Dame. NEW.ERA
So we base Favre's performance of crapping the bed late in the season based on last year, not once in Green Bay did he ever perform bad late in the season outside of 2005 where the Packers were dealing with a rash of injuries, Farve's play excelled late in the year. So he deals with a severe injury that he decided to play through of course his performance will suffer I think we all have to give him the benefit of the doubt. He may very well could play like he did late last year or more likely I think he'll play like what he did in years past trying to win every game possible no matter the circumstances. TFoA
I'm guessing that ESPN officially has the greenlight to shove Favre down our throats for the remainder of his career. The Pack-Vikes game got a 14.2 rating, making it the most watched sports program in the history of cable television.
