TurnTwo
A couple weeks ago I noticed that Google had updated its logo and results page. I went back to the page again later in the day and it had reverted to its original version.Today, I got the new version again. I figured I'd show you guys some screenshots for those of you who haven't been randomly selected to test it yet.Logo:Home Page:Before:After:Results Page:Before:After:Image Results Page:Before:After: "I must be butter, because I'm on a roll."Turn Two Design // Facebook
BrySmalls
I'm digging this, but Google could have used a tad more shadow effect towards the end of their wordmark logo.
sergeimakarenkov44
old Google logo is probably a classic because of how recognizable it is, but the new one looks sharp and looks a lot cleaner.
Quillz
I like the new one better. There was no need for the drop shadow on the older logo.
jonioks
A new one is better, it's cleaner, brighter and still recognisable. The shadows and the "3D effect" are gone, thats good.
goforbroke
Funny how such a cutting edge company like Google had such a simple logo. And I don't mean style-wise simple, I mean execution wise. You recreate that logo in photoshop in 30 seconds. Typle the word, change the letter colors, add some slight bevel and drop shadow and your done. The update is perfect though. I wonder why the trademark is missing from the new one?
jc...
I still have the "old" one showing up.
Reediculous
I definitely like the new one more than the old one. I just hate that I'm stuck with the old one. Same thing happened when Yahoo! was BETA testing their new/current site design. JoseART
TurnTwo
I still have the "old" one showing up.I've only had the new one pop up twice for me over the period of like a month. It's very sporadic. "I must be butter, because I'm on a roll."Turn Two Design // Facebook
ProvidenceRI
I've had the new search page randomly served to me sporadically for a few months.Obviously users will be forced to love and embrace these changes, since most users do not use the advanced features or options in search.I'm surprised that this new GUI seems to be a reaction to Bing. Anybody else?
CS85
I'm not really a fan. It seems kind of forced. Quote "You are nothing more than a small cancer on this message board. You are not entertaining, you are a complete joke." twitter
