Who cares, we all know USC is the best.

East or West?

(West gets a picture of the Captain from Tintin laughing)

East or West? As in Southern California, or South Carolina? Well, I'm talking about the University of Southern California! Yes, South Carolina won last year, but Southern Cal has more National Championships in Baseball than anybody!

Don't hate just because ASU got caught cheating again and is banned from the postseason.

Yeah, that's not why I'm hating. I'm hating because daily updates about any team in any of these season long threads are pedantic and annoying.

No one is forcing you to read this thread. Sorry it isn't up to your standards.

If someone pulls for their team and displays it on the forums...they are attacked for being a homer, loving their conference too much, pushing their sport on someone, or some other pointless reason. If they post something simple as a score, someone still complains. Sometimes I feel like there are nothing but women and 12 year old boys on this forum.

I read the thread because I'm interested in news, notes, stories, etc. about or from college baseball. I get the results elsewhere.

There is a medium in between being a unapologetic, rampant homer and being a lifeless, number-spouting computer. For the most part, I think we're pretty good at getting on people for the right reasons.

They haven't won one since the Clinton Administration. It strikes me that USC is far from the best at present.

USC hasn't had "it" in the past 10 years or more...in comparison to what they were in the 70's, 80's, and 90's.

I will say that final against ASU in 1998 was a sight to see.

I'm talking all time though... and even if they haven't won in 13 years, they still have a pretty impressive resumé, many schools have never won!

Does this look like an all time thread to you?

so what is everyone's opinion on the new pitch clock for this year?

I'm not so sure I like it...one of our games this past weekend didn't even last 2 hours, it literally flew right by. I enjoy sitting in my seat and letting the pace of the game set itself.

How the hell did the NCAA approve a pitch clock for baseball before a shot clock for lacrosse? I'd much rather do without a pitch clock for baseball, especially considering how college games usually don't take too long compared to their MLB counterparts

Arizona was up 8-0 on Rice after the fourth but let the Owls claw back and tie it up before the Cats scored two in the bottom of the eighth and retired the side in the ninth. I really really really would rather not sit through a game like that.

Took it to Clemson last night 6-3 with three 2-run homers. Matt Price may be the best closer in college baseball. Guy is lights out when he steps on the mound.

Tonight's game at Fluor Field in Greenville was postponed to Tuesday due to rain. Tomorrow's game supposedly still on in Clemson pending weather.

South Carolina pitchers tend to work quickly, so the pitch clock doesn't really affect them too much.
