UnclearInitial
The Elite Football League of India will start in Fall of 2012, and it will have 8 teams: Bhubaneswar Warhawks, Dheli Royal Fleet, Goa Swarm, Hyderabad Skykings, Calcutta Vipers, Mumbai Gladiators, Pune Black Tigers and Punjab Warriors. The logo looks pretty good, and I think a football league in India, if cheap enough, could work.
StillS
Cricket is a religion there and soccer is a sleeping giant, but after that no other sport has any major following. So it could work if NFL is willing to spend some major time funding the league and market the game like nba is doing there. Not a bad logo either. Alphabet Man
Without knowing too much about Indian sports culture and society, but contact sports like NFL aren't popular in India. As mentioned above, Cricket is religion, hockey is a distant second and soccer a third, neither of these sports are particularly contact sports. So it will be interesting to see how the Indians take to this new (for them) sport. Afterall there is what, about a billion people in India.... lot of money to be made and there would be some interested in playing a contact sport. eriqjaffe
Does this mean the NFL is gearing up for the lockout by outsourcing?
WSU151
The logo has a bit of a Tecmo Bowl feel to it.

Viper
Is EFLI introducing any new wrinkles in the rules and/or borrowing gimmicks from other leagues, like WLAF/NFLE's 4 points for 50+ yard field goals, or even the CFL's rouge?
