soxkrazy
A post on the New Era Cap forum has confirmed the return of the flag patch caps that debuted in the wake of 9/11. All teams will wear these instead of the S & S caps this coming September 11.

phxfan
Diamondbacks were selling their version of the flag patch on their hats this past weekend during the Mets series. They looked very nice, lots of people were buying them.

Milo Meningocele
j) No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform. However, a flag patch may be affixed to the uniform of military personnel, firemen, policemen, and members of patriotic organizations.

This law is enforced as fiercely as spitting out the window of a moving vehicle. I'm fine with teams honoring the memory of 9/11 by wearing hese. The other hats are too garish for this type of remembrance

I have found no reason for that to be the case. The best way of all, however, would be to have no 9/11 caps.
