waltere
That is actually painful to look at, how on earth are they supposed to play on it? 1 hour ago, BringBackTheVet said: sorry sweetie, but I don't suck minor-league d CCSLC Post of the day September 3rd 2012
DCDuck
This whole "colored playing surface" fad is going too far now.
Cosmic
When I read the title I thought, "You know, a really light pink might not look too bad. It would help against blaring white overload that's somewhat of a problem in hockey." And then I saw it. Wow.
thespleenenator
This is what I felt like when I saw this Why you make fun of me? I make concept for Auburn champions and you make fun of me. smzimbabwe
The Alaska Aces not only had a pink rink the other night, they wore pink jerseys...http://www.adn.com/2011/10/04/v-gallery/2104170/aces-win-exhibition-game-on-pink.html#id=2104205&view=large_viewSome of the camera angles and lighting don't show off the pink rink as much, you'll have to cycle through the images to really see it... missouri tigers
Kida off topic but, I was just there this past weekend visiting my sister in college. As for the ice, it's not a terrible idea. Maybe a much more muted shade of pink would have been better but the picture is hard enough to look at. I can't imagine being a spectator or having to play on it. thespleenenator
The idea is interesting. If Boise ever got a hockey team, maybe they could do something like this? The execution is laughable. It looks like a pool of strawberry jello. Why you make fun of me? I make concept for Auburn champions and you make fun of me. vmd9
Hmm. Does it have a flavor?pepto? but yeah that's pretty bright compared to what I've seen in the past. But at least this is a good cause. I hated it a few years back when the Erie Otters felt the need for GREEN ice just for St. Patricks

But at least this is a good cause. I hated it a few years back when the Erie Otters felt the need for GREEN ice just for St. PatricksBut that isn't nearly as bright as MSU's is. I think a pink in the color would be fine (fine being a relative term). Why you make fun of me? I make concept for Auburn champions and you make fun of me. vman
That's definitely the most intense pink ice I've ever seen. I've been to a few of these games in Mississauga, and they do a much better job of keeping it easier on the eyes.
