njmeadowlanders
http://www.colbertnation.com/the-colbert-report-videos/408882/february-21-2012/current-events---ultimate-taser-ballSo Ultimate Taser Ball was featured on the Colbert Report the other night. Yes, this is apparently a thing that exists. No, you can't make it up. So i found their website, http://utblive.com/ . Four current (no pun intended) franchises: LA Nightlight, Philadelphia Killawatts (Fantastic!), Toronto Terror, SD Spartans.Logos are here (Oh the pain, this time the pun IS intended):*Facepalm*I'm just waiting for a franchise to make it to Swift Current. Wokka Wokka Wokka.
vman
How can Toronto have a team? It's illegal to own or use tasers here.
GFB
Saw this on The Colbert Report.... Why no deep south teams? This seems right up their alley.

Cody21
this seems weird yet cool at the same time In the last game against Detroit, the time from ten minutes left to one minute left was probably the longest nine minutes of my life. But from one to zero was probably the greatest time I've ever had. I didn't want the clock to run out. It was such a great feeling: people crying in the stands, people jumping up and down, people cheering. Guys couldn't even sit up on the bench. It was probably the best minute of my life.Ah, the "I'm kidding" - the universal internet excuse for saying something that others perceived as dumb. CrazyAnna
The concept would be more interesting if the ball itself shocked you versus players having tasers. The Pike

RuffDawg
Never thought that I'd hear nightlight used as a team name...Apparently "Teddy Bears", "Bedtime Stories" and "A Warm Glass of Milk" were also considered. There comes a point when you don't stand for the constant heartbreak anymore, and walk away.
