Sport Billy
My kids were watching "Full House".This particular episode was from 1988.This kid is wearing a Washington Nationals hat. That's 17 years before the team started playing.Any idea what it is from?(And no, it is not a Walgreens hat)
Gothamite
Right. Your "kids" were watching it. Before there were Washington Nationals, there were the Washington Senators. That was the cap they wore in the 1960s. The Nats would never wear that ugly logo today if they weren't trying to tie in with an older franchise. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! wildwing64
That would be the Washington Senators cap logo, used until they relocated and became the Texas Rangers. The Washington Nationals of today adopted this as their own cap logo.Edit: Goth beat me to it PotD: 24/08/2017

Gothamite
For a little additional background, this cap made its grand return at the press conference where DC's mayor announced that the Expos were moving. All the local dignitaries were wearing one, and it immediately became the symbol for the new team. Which is why they shoehorned it into a clashing uniform -they were stuck with it. The Nats' original uniforms were all angles and hard edges, beveled and squared, except for the cap logo. They've since redesigned the uniform to better fit the cap. Which is something of a shame. Lights Out
Supposedly they were all set to wear these until Selig stepped in late in the process and forced them to wear the Walgreens ripoffs instead. POTD: 2/4/12 3/4/
