We must remain wary of the fact that New England erased a 31-3 deficit on SNF last year. As good and as big as the lead for Denver is and may promise to get, the Patriots are simply never out of a football game.

No, but it's going to be very tough throwing the ball into a 20 MPH wind and the Patriots have effectively squandered a quarter in which that wind gave them a distinct advantage.

Draft top 10 as of now:

1 = Jacksonville
2 = Houston
3 = Atlanta
4 = Minnesota
5 = Tampa Bay
6 = St. Louis (from WSH) -- will move up to #5 with a Skins loss or down to a coin flip with Buffalo for #7/#8 with a Skins win
7 = Cleveland
8 = Buffalo
9 = Oakland

What's the tie breaker that has Jacksonville picking ahead of Houston?

I don't know if anyone else got this on their station, but I got pulled away from the MIA-CAR game and they went to the studio: "Due to NFL rules, we have to take you to DAL-NYG, America's game of the week. They waste time showing pointless shot of Giants running onto the field... "and we'll take you to that game after this commercial break". So we miss the end of the game for a commercial? Then, they show like five seconds of a commercial and take us to OT of GB-MIN. They cut away for a real commercial break with GB on the goal line, and come back to GB-MIN to see GB had to settle for a field goal. They do not have their stuff together at Fox today.

Didn't the Carolina game ended anyway before Curt Menifee decree the whole "we're contractually obligated to show America's GoTW right now?" Because I saw the last Panthers TD and Tannehill's sack before FOX brought everyone back to their studios for the "Pepsi Gamebreak."

What's the tie breaker that has Jacksonville picking ahead of Houston?

Strength of schedule

Jacksonville = 91-83 (plus outcomes of DEN and SF)

Houston = 96-79 (plus outcome of SF)

Atlanta = 98.5-76.5 (plus outcome of NE)

Division/conference tiebreakers don't come into play unless the record and SOS are tied

It was essentially over, but I thought there was still some time left on the clock when they cut away. I could be wrong. But they definitely did say they had to show us the beginning of DAL-NYG, then show the OT, then show the commercial, then show the OT and eventually get to DAL-NYG like half an hour later.

I can't believe it! The Packers should've won this game! It's ends in a tie! I HATE TIE GAMES!!

This would be the typical American response at football games ending in a tie:

"Ugh...this game's boring...this is socialism...ugh...(struggles to breathe)...it's those liberals...Obama...(struggles to breathe)...this wouldn't happen under Reagan...this is socialism...(struggles to breathe)...(takes huge bite of Big Mac with large fries)...this isn't soccer...those damn Mexicans...illegal aliens...(struggles to breathe)...Obama...he wants to take my gun away...liberals...(struggles to breathe)...that Martin guy from the Dolphins is a liberal...Obama...(struggles to breathe)...I hate tie games...I want my Big Mac and fries now!"

Gotcha. Thanks, man. That's some pretty confusing stuff sometimes.

The Detroit Lions, everyone. We can't even beat the freaking Bucs. No offense to Bucs fans, but uh, yeah. No reason to lose back to back to struggling franchises when you're healthy like we have been (finally). So many coaching errors and stupid calls have lead us to a 6-5 record that amazingly is leading the division right now (thanks everyone else for not winning today!). We'll have that lead for another 4 days until we inevitably lose on Thanksgiving for the 10th straight year (hopefully we'll find a way to top last year's debacle).

Can we just :censored:ing fire Schwartz and Linehan already?

I'll admit - I love thinking through all this stuff when it comes to playoff formulations and permutations and everything, but, wow, it's virtually impossible to even care to do that busy work when it comes to a whole bunch of :censored: teams.

I'm impressed.

Maybe it was Bobby Lane's revenge from beyond the grave for Stafford trying to break his passing yard's record with the Lions.
