  1. Interesting...it could be because it's Nike...but they also don't have the white Terps helmet that became famous under the Fridge (Nike/UA unis). I'm surprised they have the mid-90s helmet, as that one is usually forgotten.
  2. It looks like the hats and helmets still have the old block V despite changing the logo in, what, July?
  3. Looks like a legitimate draft hat leak; I assume they won't go on sale until early April. Kinda like them; glad the Bengals are using this logo more vs. the B. New Era most likely didn't want a BeBals look.
  4. One of the best helmets of the WLAF
  5. Nike had its beginnings in pro sports in the 80s (I think Edmonton Oilers wore Nike jerseys in the 80s), then a huge push in college sports in early-mid-90s, but its real push didn’t come until 1997, as it saw what Wilson, Champion, Starter, and Russell Athletics were doing.
  6. If so, I think we’re talking about a potential difference of $2,000 for all the team’s helmets (combined) and that’s if the team paid for helmets at all.
  7. They don't feel 49ers now? 99% of the uniform is the same (with adjustments for modern templates). Red jersey, white numbers, three stripes, blocky NOB...that's very 49ers. Having the wordmark on the front is a bonus because the saloon mark is one of the best in the league.
  8. So they wear the current jerseys next year...and then the new brand begins with the new supplier and new template. Why would the new brand that's hypothetically released in Summer of 2024 need to adhere to 2023/24 jerseys?
  9. Sounds like it might be the blue helmeted set again.
  10. If that's the case more courts these days would need in-season repairs if they're all cheaply manufactured. I have a feeling the repairs to the Bucks court are related to something a bit unusual/uncommon, especially if it's going to take some time to fix.
  11. This one probably means nothing in particular; Fanatics is also now selling navy Whalers jerseys and other classics too. Perhaps having the eggplant jersey without shoulder patches in the "Team Classics" collection is a sign it isn't coming to the ice in the short-term.
  12. The Lions haven’t changed uniforms four times. Only three. The upper left photo isn’t a “change”. The next change will be the fourth (but fifth uniform) since the 1980s. Three changes so far in 21 seasons makes the math a little easier.
  13. Very nice, though IMO the v in Mavs needs some changes. At first glance it looked like ‘Malls”
  14. For 2023, the Vikings and Jets will have “tribute” helmets (not labeled alternate helmets), which means - as far as I can tell without seeing an actual image - they’ll be the current helmet finishes with throwback decals and facemasks (also likely means the black Jets helmet is sticking around at least one more year). I’m assuming that means 80s throwback jerseys for the Jets, and either 1970s or 1998 throwbacks (25 years since 15-1) for the Vikings.
  15. I don’t remember glow in the dark shirts being all that glowing from more than 20 feet away. I have a Columbia Fireflies hat that glows but you literally need to be within five feet of it in a pitch black room to see it.
  16. So many colleges have great team names though and are strongly associated with the school Longhorns Beavers Sun Devils Lobos Volunteers Nittany Lions Wolverines Badgers Buckeyes Tar Heels Blue Devils Demon Deacons Seminoles Yellow Jackets Jayhawks Hoosiers Hawkeyes Cornhuskers Golden Gophers Terrapins Scarlet Knights (and kudos to the Big 10 for arguably the most unique set of team names) And a number of these schools have hand gestures connected to the mascot. Easier to throw up a "Hook 'em Horns" gesture than a "Here are my two hands awkwardly trying to make a UT"
  17. I mean the tribe is paying money (likely more in the millions) to the Kraken to (hopefully) bring people to the casino. That’s how the tribe gets a ROI. This isn’t really an altruistic endeavor. It’s nice the Kraken partnered with the tribe, but in the end it’s all business, just like the other sponsorships around the arena.
  18. Weird thing is Fanatics listed the black/teal/red A hat as new for 2023 and it’s not included in that graphic
  19. You're probably right, though I don't know the last time a team teased an anniversary logo. New primary, new alternate, sure, teasers are abundant. But it seems like most teams just drop anniversary logos on social media and say "here you go!"
  20. https://www.otsports.com/ - IIRC they've made MiLB retail jerseys and maybe minor league hockey jerseys.
  21. The three blue horizontal stripes in the video almost seemed like a change/homage to the Hal Mumme days...but glad they went with fewer stripes. The helmets with contrasting facemasks are a good look.
  22. I haven’t seen any articles that support this claim…where did you find that info? The SB field cost $800,000, the Broncos field cost $400,000… There’s also this:
  23. From a reliable collectible site that has never let me down in the past: Placeholders for "2023 Alternate helmets" are Broncos, Browns, Colts, Eagles, Lions. Maybe more to come (such as Seahawks and Bucs). Have to assume Eagles is the throwback but no mention of that in the description. Hoping the Broncos is the throwback and not a white or orange option. Mods can DM me to validate; just don't want to get this seller/company in trouble.
