I know this post is from months ago...but that's a custom helmet. It's a fairly modern Riddell Box (with modern NFL logo 2008-present), and the QB facemasks didn't get made until 2002 or so. Riddell never made a helmet with this logo (or the original winged B helmet) after 1998. Pretty sure all (or certainly most) Riddell decals weren't die-cut; there was always the extra clear vinyl outline of the logo, especially a logo like that.

CBS Sports Network is airing vintage Army/Navy games this week, and right now they're showing the 2006 game. Both teams wearing traditional unis (gold/white/gold and gold/navy/gold). Seems like this game was 40 years ago, not 16. It's somewhat amazing how much things have changed since the mid-2000s. And for what it's worth...strong nostalgia for when Army when the brassy/copperish gold helmets in the 90s (which I assume is a similar gold to what Purdue used back in the day) along with the old gold pants.

Because they are affected by the brand.

Are revenues, viewership, and popularity up or down? NFL brands are like Oreos…they can offer 12 different flavors but everyone still knows what a true Oreo is.

The Cowboys wore the red/white/blue stripes in 2021 against the Broncos.

Memphis (State) had silver helmets for a long time (a couple decades). They went to blue shells and black facemasks in the 90s after the silver helmets.

All of Utah’s metallic/candy apple red helmets seemingly have decals that are angled too far upwards. Frustrates me a little bit.

I'm all for this - if true - but it seems like an announcement would come before the day of the first game of 2023 season.

I think may have been a late change...there's a seller on eBay selling 22-23 RR InGlasco pucks, which feature the front crest/jersey design for the other 31 teams, but for the Sens the Senagoth logo is on the puck with the red swoops.

Advertising has been a part of baseball for over 100 years....and ads around the stadium and on stadium walls definitely are a part of baseball/Americana/etc. But John Henry and FSG should know better than this. They're the g****** Boston Red Sox. This isn't some team that might miss payroll. This ugly patch isn't worth the extra $0.04B in valuation for this conglomerate. The Seahawks have already announced they'll be the 90s unis. Huge Instagram post about it posted three days ago. I hate the ads but yeah I'm still going to watch baseball players throw wicked breaking balls and hit the ball 400 feet. Ads don't really take away from the talent on the field.

Probably not too different than the sleeves circa 2000. They'll be cut off at the seams for sure and my guess is they'll probably be thinner than these: I wonder if shiny silver pants will be back!

I highly doubt the Seahawks are looking at the Lions’ all gray unis and thinking those would be awesome.

I understand this one - it saves a jersey slot despite having the wrong years (though you're right it should be '81 and '83). I started a 90s Era with the Suns, and in 91-92 they have a semi-realistic Veterans' Coliseum floor (center court logo is spot on, which is cool), but the court doesn't change for the Suns' iconic change in 92-93.

These things are so fluid that all of your claims (which you push as truth) end up being wildly incorrect. Like, you're 0-for-1000. Random chance would confirm some of your claims, but that doesn't happen. I'd take a break from predictions if I were you. I'm sure when the Broncos don't wear the blue pants with the orange jerseys...because they never planned to do so...you'll come on here and say "ThInGs ArE FlUiD yOu GuYs!" I noticed that you’re so “plugged in” you can’t even tell us which week orange over blue will happen…because you have no idea if it’ll happen. You’re just wildly guessing. Can you post these videos and quote of Simmons and Wilson pushing for the all blue? Certainly they are out there. You haven't shared any of them. Was the availability of these videos so fluid that they magically disappeared?? I found one article with Wilson and Simmons saying they liked the blue jerseys...but those comments happened in October, not March, not April, not June, not July. And you have zero sources. You claimed multiple times that the Bengals helmets would be black with white stripes...and guess what...all of those claims were wrong (again). And it's weird you think about my PP. Seek some help about that.
