  1. Let's see about the 1987-90 Chicago White Sox: Cap (and cap logo) Home and away jerseys:
  2. Why are they "West Virginia" and not "Morgantown" or "Mon Valley"? I thought MiLB frowned upon two teams having the same locale name (unless they were in far different areas of the nation)...we've already got the West Virginia Power!
  3. I think you're getting your moonshine mixed up. Not sure whether they'll allow that usage...too many upset parents in this world. My idea was just the "Shiners" and have the mascot be a hillbilly with a shiner...they're the Pirates' affiliate, and a shiner is "nature's eyepatch!"
  4. On second thought, I doubt they're gonna go with the Moonshiners (too close to the Asheville Tourists' current identity) or the Muskets (for obvious reasons). I believe we will see the Mon Valley Black Diamonds...and the college football color field trend will make its way to baseball too as we actually see a black diamond.
  5. Good point...whether they use "Morgantown" or "Mon Valley" as the locale name, it'll work.
  6. Morgantown's NYPL team has started voting on their name-the-team contest...the finalists are: Black Bears Black Diamonds Canaries Coal Kings Coal Sox Energy Moonshiners Muskets Wild Ones Wonder Voting goes on until Friday...which one is your favorite?
  7. Not sure if you got anything for the Milwaukee Brewers 1990-93 jerseys or wordmark:
  8. So "Thunder" is to the ECHL what "Admirals" is to the AHL...everything's gonna be just fine.
  9. Story here. "Key Chicago Cubs management will be introduced to the media along with Andrew Berlin and Joe Hart on Thursday, September 25 during a press conference at the St. Joseph County Chamber of Commerce. In the interim, the South Bend Silver Hawks will be working with the Cubs and the National Association of Minor League Baseball to unveil the new name, logo and uniform during that media event, which will take place at 9 a.m. Eastern Time in the Chamber’s Briefing Room." I nominate the South Bend Shillelaghs...ties into Notre Dame (when a Fighting Irish wants to get an advantage, he brings the shillelagh...which is why their rivalry trophies with Purdue and USC are both shillelaghs.) and also to hard-hitting baseball (imagine the branding possibilities!)
  10. With the Cubs switching their High-A affiliate to the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, it looks like the Daytona Cubs identity will be no more...
  11. I agree...two reasons I like the rebrand better than the original. 1. The "Miami Marlins" name has history...much like the Baltimore Orioles, Milwaukee Brewers, San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Angels, it's been the traditional name for minor-league teams in the city. 2. The brand and color scheme exude Miami's spirit. Would I want them for a Northeast or Midwest team? Of course not. But Miami ISN'T like these other cities...it's known for its neon lights, South Beach and party lifestyle. Much better brand than the pseudo-traditional design of the Tampa Bay Rays.
  12. I think there's nothing wrong with the Sixers' identity set right now...it's SOLID.
  13. I would have voted for Beacons...not sure why they chose to go with the singular instead of the plural.
  14. What team/sport does this logo belong to? looks like maybe Vancouver, though those two guys make me think of Lewis & Clark, lol. They were the former AHL team known as the Montreal Voyageurs from 1969 until 1971, and then as the Nova Scotia Voyageurs from 1971 until 1984 (the franchise has always been the Montreal Canadiens' affiliate, currently playing as the Hamilton Bulldogs)
  15. Thanks...a...MILLION dude! At this point, we can repurpose Chuck Norris Facts into ren69 Facts...
  16. What's even more exciting is that they're gonna be my Brewers' AA affiliate! Seriously, how awesome does "Biloxi Brewers" sound?
  17. LOVE all these designs...I know that redone Minnesota Monsters logo is gonna be SOOOO worth the wait!
  18. My deepest condolences to you and your family Ren...take all the time you need.
  19. Just discovered this thread...BEAUTIFUL. All of 'em really are. Just one request I have there...Minnesota Monsters (1998 Professional Indoor Football League) EDIT: Here's a larger image on a pocket schedule listed on eBay...this might help.
  20. The Kingfish logo is good for what it is...but here's one problem. Both species called "kingfish" and native to the USA are SALTWATER fish (Atlantic Ocean, to be specific)...there is not a SINGLE kingfish in Lake Michigan (or ANY of the Great Lakes).
  21. OK everybody...I think we all agree by now that Brandiose has jumped the shark. Question is: at which rebranding did the jump take place?
