    That's because the Missions are planning to buy a PCL team and build a new ballpark for whichever team will become the AAA Missions.

    And it's official...the Louisville Bats are switching to red, white and blue. Red, white and blue are traditional colors...for the REDBIRDS. Black and purple were the Bats' tradition, and they will be back in three years' time, I predict.

    Hopefully they're not the only ones. Would love to see the Gulls play an outdoor game at Petco Park. Someday...hey, I'm still waiting for my Admirals to play an "indoor outdoor" game at Miller Park.

They have proven that they are among the most loyal and ardent in the NHL.” You know whose fans were the "most loyal and ardent in the NHL?" Four teams come to mind...the Minnesota North Stars, Quebec Nordiques, Winnipeg Jets and Hartford Whalers. But that didn't stop the NHL from pulling up the stakes there. Also, I'd think a message would be sent that the Wild and Jets 2.0 have been some of the biggest success stories in recent NHL expansion/relocation.

    I'm happy they found a conference...but were the NEC's expectations too lofty for them? That's not the case... this is easily a marriage of convenience. NJIT needed a home and the Atlantic Sun were a raid or two away from death. This works out big time for both parties. Well, you can forget about any good rivalries forming now...the NEC would've been CHOCK-full of them. Here's hoping this move is only temporary and NJIT goes to where it belongs.
