  1. Charleston RiverDogs put a creative spin on their 25th anniversary logo...they're counting in dog years now.
  2. It's a good team name and good brand....but it's not a Triple-A caliber team name nor brand. (Unless it's the name of the Yankees' affiliate-come to think of it, "Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Stripers" rolls off the tongue pretty well)
  3. Hudson Valley Renegades refresh identity for 25th anniversary season.
  4. One which comes to mind is Salem University (Salem, WV)...the team's called the Tigers and their colors are green and white. Currently playing as a D2 Independent, would fit the Big South's footprint quite well.
  5. They deleted the picture soon after I commented asking about Brandon and Dickinson's teams...
  6. So Lamb Chops and Hush Puppies are two of the name options...why isn't Charlie Horses one? (Or Wing Dings for you older fans)
  7. Looks like the D-Backs might be the ones who end up heading to Vegas...
  8. Rosemont's new American Association team in 2018 will have the greatest indy baseball name EVER! It's not letting me post the logo, but you can see for yourself...
  9. In case it hasn't been posted before...
  10. Now that you mention San Antonio, I wonder if anybody's floated around the idea of renovating Freeman Coliseum, putting back the ice plant (or improving it if it's still there) and getting it to AHL specs so that the Rampage won't be as reliant on the Spurs' home dates for their own (and also that their place won't look so empty on game days despite their underrated fanbase)
  11. Gwinnett Braves to change name for 2018, plan name-the-team contest. Gwinnett Buttons. 'Nuff said.
  12. Interesting to see they decided to forgo a West Coast team (Reno would've been a perfect location, but how do you put an ice plant in the Events Center?) Wondering who #31 will be for the AHL (if they even do expand?)
  13. Ladies and gentlemen, The Greek before he was The Freak:
  14. The ECHL's Americans franchise will be changing their location moniker and is holding a contest: http://allenamericans.com/VOTE/ My vote is for "Texas Americans"...not only are they the only ECHL team in the Lone Star State, but they would also have a lot of merchandise bought from even non-hockey fans (specifically, those Texans who are super-proud to be American-there are a LOT of them)
  15. ^I think so...but with both of them as iconic to Brooklyn culture as they are, can you blame them? A better look at the Biggie banner:
  16. ECHL's IceMen to Jacksonville official, but they take the lazy route and keep the name. I still wanted them to bring back the Lizard Kings...
  17. If the A-Devils had kept the River Rats name (or officially switched back to it) at some point, they wouldn't be moving...
  18. Rumor has it that the team most recently known as the Evansville IceMen has been bought by a new ownership group and will move to Jacksonville, Florida to play at the Veterans Memorial Arena for 2017-18. If that turns out to be the case...BRING BACK THE LIZARD KINGS!!!
  19. Red Turtles? Would certainly not be one of the worse rebrandings of this offseason...
  20. That would be the af2's Stockton Lightning (their brand is frequently ripped off these days). Anyway, the Pecos League is planning a fourth California League team-the California City Whiptails (named after the lizard). Here's their logo:
