  1. Has anyone uploaded an Under Armour basketball uniform template yet?
  2. And the last finalist...the Supper Clubbers. This one actually makes a bit of sense, as supper clubs can be found ALL THROUGHOUT Wisconsin (though not here in Racine, for some reason)...but still, when the fan vote opens later today, they'd BETTER have Snappers as a sixth finalist.
  3. As the winner of the Milwaukee Milkmen's name-the-team contest, I share your offense. Not to mention there's already a baseball team called the Moo.
  4. What a shame to see such a well-supported program in a hockey hotbed go away like this...I wonder if this means the ol' Sullivan Arena's gonna meet the wrecking ball.
  5. Gastonia Grunts is my suggestion...honors the regular factory workers, provides a unique alliterative name (with plenty of logo possibilities), and gives the fans a unique cheer to make at the games.
  6. Touché. (For some reason, I'd always thought that Bellarmine and Sacred Heart were Jesuit schools)
  7. I always did find it strange that Minnesota had only one D1 school (especially when Wisconsin and Iowa have four each, and even the two Dakotas have two each). In addition to being the North Star State's second D1 school, it is also (I think) the second Catholic school in D1 not to be affiliated with any specific religious order (it's affiliated directly with the Archdiocese of St. Paul & Minneapolis, just as Seton Hall is with the Archdiocese of Newark). Welcome to D1, Tommies...I look forward to everything to come!
  8. The Kenosha Kingfish (Northwoods League summer-collegiate) announce they will be playing baseball this year, in the form of a two-team series against a to-be-named Kenosha-branded team. Name-the-team contest runs until 4 PM Central tomorrow...I voted for them to bring back one of the league's "original five" and 1995 Champions (which you can find on my sig), the Kenosha Kroakers!
  9. With the Horizon League covering most of the North Central's major markets (and a few minor ones), it gives you the feeling that if they were a major conference, they'd try starting their own cable network.
  10. Except the SWAC is also an HBCU conference...so this is more of a lateral move. Wonder if Bethune-Cookman's gonna follow suit soon? (after all, they're FAMU's in-state rivals and their nearest conference opponent will now be 340 miles away)
  11. I still think they should've gone for Reno (to bolster their fanbase across the state). Oh well, I suppose there's a place in the ECHL for the Reno Bronze Knights.
  12. Charlotte already has the Panthers, the Hornets and an MLS team...MLB may prefer someplace where the only major competition is the Hurricanes and NC State sports.
  13. I'm serious...they should be the "Durham" Bulls...it has far more history and significance in baseball culture. Even if the park's not in Durham and no other major-league team would even consider identifying as a Durham team...the Durham Bulls brand is THAT strong.
  14. If Major League Baseball ever expands to the Raleigh-Durham area, they should be called the Durham Bulls, promoting the historic brand to the majors.
  15. Wisconsin-Green Bay Phoenix new primary logo:
  16. Bucknell Bison needs their new primary logo added:
  17. Cleveland State Vikings need this "Magnus" viking head alternate logo:
  18. Even if the Canucks move the AHL team closer to home, I think they'll buy an ECHL team, moving and rebranding them with the Comets identity.
  19. IIRC, that's the second HBCU to leave the MEAC for the Big South in the recent conference shuffle (after Hampton)...I wonder if it's gonna become a trend now?
  20. 1. Being a strict religious school (though not nearly as strict as Liberty) that's "behind the times" on social issues is what's keeping the bigger conferences from inviting BYU. 2. Boise State could work, if they can get past the academic hurdle. 3. SD State's not going anywhere until their new football stadium plan is a done deal. 4. UNLV looks like the strongest candidate, with Allegiant Stadium hosting both Rebels football and the Pac-12 Championship Game (in addition to being the Raiders' new stadium).
  21. All you did was take their current alignment and add Mizzou and Indiana State...teams in the SEC at this point STAY in the SEC, and I don't know if the Sycamores want to go FBS in the near future.
