  1. What's the difference? The top 6 conference champions are in (that guarantees at least one Group of 5 champion). Why should there not be any at-large teams, in your opinion?
  2. So you don't think any non-conference champions should make the playoffs/tournament in any NCAA sport?
  3. You do realize in 2 years this argument will be irrelevant, right? As the top 6 ranked conference champions are in, regardless of where they're ranked. 16th ranked Tulane would be in this year if the new format were in place.
  4. TCU has 1 loss. USC has 2 losses. In any scenario, TCU would be ahead of USC.
  5. Hockey has a clearly defined line of offsides on the ice. Soccer's is ever moving (and more confusing).
  6. Yes, I read the official ruling released by the Majestic XII. All 856 pages. And I fully agree with their conclusion, as I was instructed to do. The most convincing portion, that invalidated the possibility of any opposing argument, was the analysis of Petticoat Junction's direct influence on the Jurassic-era Roman Army's defeat at the hands of General Custer during the battle of Northern Antarctica. This historical event clearly, and undeniably, made Lawrence Moten the home run king of the 1525 regular season. It was pure poetry on a most authoritative level. I was left breathless.
  7. Only the top 4 Conference Champions get byes. And it's the top 6 Conference Champions automatically in. So it would be: BYES: 1. GEORGIA (SEC Champ), 2. MICHIGAN (Big Ten Champ), 3. CLEMSON (ACC Champ), 4. UTAH (PAC-12 Champ) 5. TCU vs 12. Tulane (AAC Champ) 6. Ohio State vs 11. Penn state 7. Alabama vs 10. USC 8. Tennessee vs 9. K-state (Big 12 Champ)
  8. Georgia and Michigan are locked in at 1-2. Honestly believe it will be Ohio State and TCU at 3-4. Who will be what, I don't know. USC is the only other team that has a chance, but I don't think, at 2 losses and in a weaker conference, they'll be in ahead of either of those two. Alabama has no chance. Shouldn't, anyway.
  9. Conference championship games are worth way too much money to be eliminated. I think most will go to divisionalless alignments and have the top 2 play for the championship. This allows a better chance that their top 2 teams remain higher in the polls and more likely to qualify for the CFP, even for the runner-up. The SEC announced they were looking into this when Georgia and Tennessee were the highest ranked SEC schools, but Georgia had already clinched the East (Tennessee subsequently lost to South Carolina, so..). But this would make sure the best teams from each conference are set-up for the CFP rather than the best team and the team that just may happens to win a weaker division playing for the conference title.
  10. No, not really. You mentioned a safety. Why do they change possessions when an offensive player is tackled in their own endzone (thus resulting in a safety), but not anywhere else on the field? Because it's in the endzone. It's not "too dramatic" (dramatic?). You are literally the only person I have ever heard complain about this.
  11. Because it's the endzone and not anywhere else on the field. Why is a kickoff/punt a touchback only when it goes out the endzone and not anywhere else on the field? Why is it only a touchdown when the offense gets the ball into the endzone and not anywhere else on the field? The endzone is NOT the same as anywhere else on the field, therefore, things are different when it happens there.
  12. They're gonna want to maintain an LA-area bowl game in the CFP rotation. Elevating the LA Bowl or a new one would be the top choice.
  13. I'm assuming he means the new one and the Metrodome M.
  14. I do also like how the 'S' in "Minnesota" is in the Target Field version of the Metrodome font to tie-in to the numbers. So they didn't completely abandon that era.
  15. IMO, they should've given the cream alts pinstripes to tie in to the original uniforms, but also to allow pinstripes at home in some fashion to go along with them on the roads. Overall, I don't hate this look. The new scripts look very clean and combine both instances of their wordmark.
  16. I haven't seen any hint that the "MINNESOTA" wordmark will have that perspective effect to it, but rather just a basic arch.
  17. Yeah I meant to say "Minnesota" instead of "Twins", which itself was a reverse of this one. As was the primary navy "Minnesota" alternate from the departing set.
  18. That doesn't necessarily correlate. The TWINS wordmark is the primary focus of the front of the jersey and the number, secondary. On the back, it's reverse; the number is primary and the player's name, secondary. The red is clearly used, in this case, to "highlight" the primary component of the each side of the jersey, with navy "highlighting" the secondary component. Therefore, the way they have them colored is correct. They're not the first to do this. Not even the first time they have done this. Just look at their fist navy alternate from the 90s. "Twins" on the front and the number on the back were both white (trimmed in red), while the front number and NOB were both red (trimmed in white).
  19. They're going to anyway. I expect Stanford, Oregon and Washington to join. Utah may be the 5th team if UCLA is forced to stay in the LAME-12 (with Stanford being the immediate replacement). Or maybe the Big Ten goes ahead and accepts both UCLA AND Cal to appease the regents.
  20. Don't think the 'A' in Minnesota is gonna look like that. If you look at the initial team store leak, the Miranda player tee at in the foreground clearly shows a standard 'A' shape.
