  1. I know, but these don't look like anything other than fashion caps. Very basic. One's even khaki. You'd probably see slouch versions of game caps grouped together. None of these look like they'd be one.
  2. I could see the front numbers being navy. A reverse of the back.
  3. All those hats appear to be slouch fit, so I would assume they're just fashion caps.
  4. Most top players don't really sign before the Winter Meetings with there being the occasional exception (last year being one, but that was also with the impending lockout looming). The Winter Meetings tend to kick off the official "Falling of the Big Dominoes".
  5. Correa will probably get a bigger contract than Bogaerts so this is a little contradictory. It'd be cheaper to bring back Bogaerts.
  6. I expect the Big Ten will get to at least 20, but not with all ACC schools. I'm sure they'd want to take Notre Dame, but the other 3 would need to be PAC schools to set up a balanced 5-team division format with an all-PAC/west division for UCLA and USC.
  7. I propose a compromise between Nike, the NBA and normal people: 1. Home 2. Away 3. Alternate (that goes WITH the team identity, i.e. the home and away uniforms) 4. Throwback (optional or even regulated based on anniversary seasons blah blah blah) 5. City - A specially designed uniform for a handful of games throughout the season. New design every 3 seasons.
  8. Appears the trolls are out in full force on this one already.
  9. The Twins are the lone team left using the serifed "mlb block" font. It's basically a noticeable part of their identity. I cannot see them, nor do I want them to, switch away form it. And I don't think they will.
  10. If UCLA IS blocked, I think Stanford is their replacement. Then they'll definitely go after Washington and Oregon, with maybe Utah as a potential 5th team (Cal would definitely be blocked, too, if this were to happen) to create a 5-team west division in a 20-team Big Ten.
  11. 6 consecutive ALCS appearances. Says it on the picture.
  12. Plus being in an entertainment-heavy economic city like Vegas, the stadium can get used quite a bit for concerts and events when the Raiders (or UNLV) aren't playing.
  13. I'm not really a fan of head-to-toe powder blue uniforms, but everybody's allowed to like what they want. Arguments for or against it are completely subjective. People can have different opinions and points of view.
  14. Not necessarily. Sumerlin’s far enough west it may not be much different than Twins-St. Paul or the Astros-Sugar Land. Plus it’s a brand new stadium. They’re not gonna want to abandon it.
  15. It actually has been mentioned as a potential temporary site. The capacity is still more than the A's draw now, so you probably wouldn't even need to increase it to be an improvement over the Coliseum. Not sure how scheduling would work with two teams playing there simultaneously, though.
  16. I don't see the PAC going for anyone other than San Diego State and maybe UNLV (Las Vegas market, but still a stretch) to try and stave off extinction. Most likely, Stanford, Washington and Oregon (possibly Cal) get into the Big Ten, Washington State and Oregon State realize they're not really wanted and head for the Mountain West, unless the Big 12 decides to just flat out conquer the entire west and give Gonzaga some proximity teams. Arizona, Arizona State, and Utah will fit well into the Big 12 and Colorado was an original member, so... In this scenario, SDSU would be appealing to the Big 12 as a SoCal market. Can't envision a scenario where the PAC gets desperate enough for Hawaii or Fresno State. Maybe the latter if one more team would save the conference.
  17. There's definitely a bevel to the upper left as you can see the notches on the lower left and upper right.
  18. What else is there to do in central California on a Saturday?
  19. It actually kind of does with the new logo. A lot of jagged/sharp corners and edges.
  20. The only thing is the bird and fleur de lis both seem to only fit with the Battlehawks. The site speculates that the fleur could be the Vipers, but it doesn't make any sense there. There's no French history with the city or team name. And unless I'm missing something, St. Louis is the only city in the league that it would be associated with.
  21. Yeah, and you can see it on the left side as well.
  22. I think there's gonna end up being a PAC-12/BIG 12 merger someday, anyway, with the PAC schools that are leftover after the Big Ten (more than likely) picks off who they want to join UCLA and USC, joining the Big 12. So this seems like it would have eventually happened anyway. And seems to really drive home the notion that the PAC is not long for existence.
  23. There have been groups in Portland, but they seem to have died down over the past few years. They're at least not as prominent as Las Vegas/Nashville/Montreal. That's why I put them down with Charlotte and San Antonio-Austin. You have some groups making noise, but nothing substantial that's drawing so hard attention. I could see MLB entertaining those places as potential expansion cities, if nothing else, to use as perceived alternatives to one of the primary choices.
