  1. They're not really all that close.
  2. If it doesn't involve New York, Los Angeles or Chicago, everybody always seems to believe no one will watch.
  3. As for the Big Ten, I really can't see them stopping at 16 with USC & UCLA. They'd probably need to get to 20 and create 5-team pods. They've mentioned Stanford, Cal, Oregon and Washington as targets. Drop Cal, then they could add another midwest school (Notre Dame would be their top choice), allowing for a 5-team "Pacific" pod.
  4. The SEC approved the 3-6 scheduling format and Texas A&M have said they'd like 2 of their 3 regular opponents to be Texas and LSU, so I'd assume it'd be those 3 and Oklahoma, if it does indeed to go the pod system, likely moving Arkansas into a "North" division with Mizzou, Vanderbilt and Kentucky. This would allow Tennessee to stay in an "East" with Georgia & Florida along with South Carolina. The Alabama/Mississippi division works. “WEST” “CENTRAL” “NORTH” “EAST” LSU Alabama Arkansas Florida Oklahoma Auburn Kentucky Georgia Texas Mississippi State Mizzou South Carolina Texas A&M Ole Miss Vanderbilt Tennessee
  5. The bottom one is from a potential renovation rendering of Nissan Stadium (I fell for it last night while looking for pictures of the new one )
  6. You forgot to preface your assessment with "in my opinion".
  7. The compressed schedule was primarily due to the series attached at the end of the regular season because of the lockout. Pushed the end of the season to Wednesday instead of Sunday, and MLB said they didn't want the World Series to go beyond the November 5th Game 7 day as already scheduled. I think next year the Wild Card round will begin on Tuesday which will allow other off days to be back in subsequent series'.
  8. What do you mean no off day? They were off on Thursday, in between games 2 and 3.
  9. Other than the Cardinals remark (which is just unnecessarily mean and hurtful... hopefully everyone gets that that was sarcasm), I agree. The shorter series, AT HOME, gives the advantage to the better teams, so what's the fuss? Cardinals, Mets and Blue Jays had the clear advantage and couldn't get it done. Any team can be playing bad or good at anytime. You can't predict hot and cold spells so you set it up as best you can. Theoretically, the competition gets tougher the further you get into the playoffs, which is why there's more games in a series.
  10. They didn't have red jerseys in 2016. They were added with the removal of Wahoo for 2019.
  11. Here's a comparison from the last 3 iterations (showing them all on the road since that's how the navy is primarily worn now): IMO, the piping would make the current ones so much better.
  12. That would've been the best part.
  13. Seriously, does Cleveland’s replay guy secretly work for the Yankees? They challenged two clear correct calls the other night that had no chance of being overturned and then don’t challenge a call that clearly would’ve been overturned tonight.
  14. I still don't know why they took the piping off of the updated navy "Cleveland" jersey with the addition of the red one (and removal of Wahoo), and the same thing with the subsequent switch to Guardians. It features on all the other jerseys and it's subtraction makes the navy one look more like a plain BP jersey.
  15. If you give this jersey away, make sure it's to someone special.
  16. Disagree fully. There is nothing wrong with the front of this jersey.
  17. The wordmark in it of itself is cool, but doesn't work with the Magic's identity. Plus it's way too small on that jersey. BTW, what's with the Georgetown color scheme?
  18. Hell, before the early 2010's mass realignment, CUSA was probably the top G5 conference along with the Mountain West (Big East being considered a power 5 conference at that point). Then their best schools moved to the ashes of the Big East (American) and CUSA was forced to replenish with FCS schools pretending to be FBS.
  19. I'll disagree. The Mariners & Guardians, IMO, are very likeable. The Padres are likeable against certain teams (Dodgers, Yankees, Astros... and Mets). And actually the Cardinals are the only team I ever cheer for against the Braves (or if the Braves losing helps the Cardinals). That being said, unless it's my team (the Cardinals as you may not have known), I kinda like that we technically haven't had a back-to-back champion this century (1998-2000 Yankees being the last), so if the Braves made were to make it to and lose to the Mariners or Guardians in the World Series, I'd be cool with that.
  20. If you look at Arenado's, his name is one less letter than Anderson's. His style would actually fit Anderson's jersey size better without going so far down. Which boggles my mind that the White Sox and other teams space them so far apart.
  21. Bare minimum for what? Conference championship game? They did away with that rule. Plus C-USA is now essentially the minor league for the American, which itself, is just a jumping point for only a handful of schools wanting to show off for a shot at a potential power 5 opening.
  22. I don't think the Dodgers will be in on Judge. Trea Turner will be their top priority and, along with Betts's contract, are gonna be close to maxed out when you figure they're gonna have to pay some of these younger players eventually.
  23. The Orioles actually do, at least in letter height. Not sure if they're less wide or as wide as most others.
