  1. Probably make things a lot easier to swap leagues with Colorado and Tampa Bay. NATIONAL LEAGUE WEST SOUTH CENTRAL EAST Arizona Diamondbacks Atlanta Braves Chicago Cubs Montreal Expos** Los Angeles Dodgers Cincinnati Reds Milwaukee Brewers New York Mets San Diego Padres Miami Marlins Pittsburgh Pirates Philadelphia Phillies San Francisco Giants Tampa Bay Rays St. Louis Cardinals Washington Nationals AMERICAN LEAGUE WEST SOUTH CENTRAL EAST Colorado Rockies Houston Astros Chicago White Sox Baltimore Orioles Las Vegas Athletics* Kansas City Royals Cleveland Indians Boston Red Sox Los Angeles Angels Nashville Stars** Detroit Tigers New York Yankees Seattle Mariners Texas Rangers Minnesota Twins Toronto Blue Jays
  2. So that Jordan Montgomery kid looks pretty good. I sure wouldn't trade him if I was in need of pitching. Bet the Yankees wish they had him. Surprised they didn't try and get him. Oh well.
  3. Is Polo a real sport, or just something they made up for British people to play in movies and tv to make it look like they actually do other stuff besides drink tea?
  4. Draft should be first to worst of the teams that do NOT make the playoffs. The rest should be either worst to best record of playoff teams, or order of elimination, worst to first record for those eliminated at the same time. And the only alternative that would be acceptable to the draft would be money alotted to spend (similar to as it usually is now), but the players can sign for whoever for however much within the pool amount, with the "1st Pick" team (so-to-speak) having the most to spend and the best team having the least. So if the best team had, say, $5 million to spend, the lowest available, they could spread it out amongst many players or give it all to the best player and that'd be their only "pick". Same could go for any team. This is your "budget", basically. Spend it however you want on the new players. Baseball's schedule next year will be 14 games against divisional opponents, 6 games against league opponents, 4 games (I assume 2 games at each stadium) against interleague "rival" and 3 games against each of the other 14, 7 series at home, 7 on the road.
  5. I think I read that any 2022 postseason game WILL count towards his suspension. Unless the article had it wrong. EDIT: No, it was correct. Any postseason game the Padres play will indeed count towards his suspension. I guess that makes sense. If he's ineligible to play in the postseason, but it didn't count and still had to serve those games next year, it would be like serving the suspension for those games twice.
  6. They're missing the front pair of pintripes that go behind the sides of the C. The have the middle one on it's own from the brim of the hat, but then the ones to either side of hit are missing on the helmet.
  7. I pay $200+ for cable to watch the Cardinals on Bally Sports Midwest. No streaming service carries it. The last season (2020) of FS Midwest was still on YouTube TV and my brothers had it. But then it was dropped when they switched and it's still not on any streaming service. I'd pay for MLB.TV and share with family if it weren't for blackouts. Completely pointless unless you live out of your team's market. I'd probably watch other teams' games as well, but I'm not buying it unless I can watch my team's games.
  8. They traded one of the best closers in the game and the players were not happy, and didn't really add anything. They've since lost 5 of 6 to the Pirates and Reds.
  9. It's the working theory, based of off the generic Wildcats name and wildfiresque colors.
  10. Hosmer refused to waive his no-trade to Washington. They believe it'll still go through, just changing some players. But I'm hoping the Cardinals can pull a 2021 Dodgers on the Padres and swoop in and snatch him up at the last possible minute... ...These are good gummy bear brownies...
  11. After watching him and Ocon this weekend, I'm surprised he didn't try and switch now.
  12. Maybe with white or yellow socks, but the leotard look with blue pants and socks is atrocious.
  13. It didn't make sense then and it doesn't make sense now. So just leave it where it happened, at least. In the past.
  14. I could honestly see Oregon State and Washington State ending up in the Mountain West. They don't bring anything to table while being geographically outliers.
  15. I would start eating tomatoes just to have one to throw at you for saying this.
  16. Don't believe your gonna see a 16-team or more playoff. The 12-team proposal was interesting because it took the top 6 conference winners + the top 6 ranked teams that weren't conference winners. But you're also not gonna see the situation of MAC and Sun Belt teams getting a shot at 'Bama and Ohio State in the playoff. I still believe the best case scenario is to split the power schools away into either their own NCAA division or separate from the NCAA altogether. Bump up some FCS schools (North Dakota State, for example) into the "New FBS" or mid-tier division and let them have a similar playoff system to FCS.
  17. Yeah, I don't know how I was on the Patriots when I read that.
  18. EDIT: Nevermind. Read a post incorrectly.
  19. Birmingham Blast Bolts = Los Angeles Wildfirecats
  20. Not sure if it belongs in this thread or not, but Seattle's All-Star Game logo looks pretty cool.
  21. 80k, expandable to 105k. NFL stadiums don't typically seat as many as college.
