  1. I tried to make that '98-'06 set work in modernity. I maintain that the "db" is way better than the snake swallowing the ball.
  2. Other than a way to get RSS feeds to import into actual podcast apps and links to unlisted YouTube videos? No reason at all.
  3. Giants wrap-up: Gabe Kapler’s laizze-faire approach blew up in his face, a lot of guys got hurt, and Joc Pederson approached “least favorite player ever” status. At least Brandon Crawford went out a Giant.
  4. Chicago vs. Washington Jacksonville vs. Buffalo New Orleans vs. New England Tennessee vs. Indianapolis Baltimore vs. Pittsburgh Carolina vs. Detroit Houston vs. Atlanta NY Giants vs. Miami Cincinnati vs. Arizona Philadelphia vs. LA Rams NY Jets vs. Denver Kansas City vs. Minnesota Dallas vs. San Francisco Green Bay vs. Las Vegas
  5. How to sum up the Patriots, post-Brady? Ambitious but rubbish on all levels.
  6. Lowest bar in the NFL to clear, but they cleared it. Begrudgingly.
  7. Believe me, it is! Both guys are playing their way out of a spot in Canton, especially Payton. He's exposed without Brees, much like how Russ got exposed without Carroll last year. Denver becoming a Nuggets-first town could happen if the Broncos keep blowing chunks this historically. It’s sad but funny.
  8. Vance Joseph is now the problem and should have been fired minutes after the Miami game ended. I guess the tank is now on, to purge the mess?
  9. I know where’s he going after he gets out!
  10. Well, that’s what happens when you let the clubhouse descend into utter apathy.
  11. That’s entirely fair, look at last year’s Vikings club. Is it ridiculous for me to say the same thing about the Niners? I’m just waiting for the other shoe to drop and for the injury bug to return.

  13. Well, it would be nice to have a source on your claims and confidence that this kind of growth is sustainable.
  14. How to describe being a Broncos fan through the first three weeks: Somehow, it was possible for Russ to go lower than being mocked by a cartoon starfish.
  15. I can’t explain why, but I used to get him and Jake Plummer confused. I guess Broncos quarterbacks from the interregnum between Elway and Manning just meld together for me.
  16. It turns out that having contrast between the blue and green shades is a good thing!
  17. Ok, so I was wrong. That doesn’t mean that expansion is a viable option, nor does it mean that Portland’s MLB stadium efforts are actually drumming up any serious local support. As Fiddy said, we don’t have enough viable baseball markets. Hell, of the ones we do have, several are utterly awful.
  18. Chicago deserves the QB jersey meme more than the modern Cleveland Browns.
  19. Portland chose their MLS club over AAA baseball. That alone should tell MLB expansion folk to back off and leave the city alone.
  20. NY Giants vs. San Francisco Atlanta vs. Detroit LA Chargers vs. Minnesota New Orleans vs. Green Bay Houston vs. Jacksonville Denver vs. Miami Tennessee vs. Cleveland Buffalo vs. Washington Indianapolis vs. Baltimore New England vs. NY Jets Carolina vs. Seattle Chicago vs. Kansas City Dallas vs. Arizona Pittsburgh vs. Las Vegas Philadelphia vs. Tampa Bay LA Rams vs. Cincinnati
  21. The public transport that just does not exist in Tampa Bay Area.
  22. That's exactly what it is, not fixing the root of their issues and just moving the low attendance to a new building. I'd think it was a good idea if public transit in the area expanded to service the new stadium and provide an alternative to over-congested highways. But this is the Tampa Bay Area we're talking about, so that won't happen.
  23. As a Niners fan, I'd like to do the same for my team. The semi-home opener was a pretty decent win for the Niners. The Rams certainly have more spunk to them than the Steelers, but I'd wait on calling the Niners a legitimate contender. Purdy is gonna have some regression to the mean (as we kind of saw yesterday) and the injury bug will return, it's just a matter of when.
  24. It’s the mix of slab-serifs and sans-serif numbers that really make the font seem “confused,” for lack of a better word. The NOB font is full of slabs, but the numbers largely avoid them.
  25. If you're gonna do faux-leather, just ditch the stripes and brightly-colored facemask. Black or leather-colored facemasks would work best with faux-leather. Using a darker-colored leather texture on the helmet graphic would've been better, possibly one with fake stitching in certain sections.
