Silver Seven dress-up remains the only viable identity in my books.

2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs new logo unveiled

[MOD EDIT: Gross. No thank you.] -
I like that idea better. If Rewatchables is him sober, I'd love to see how many faux-pauxs he'd make while several kegs of Sam Adams into the game.

I’m just annoyed that we’ll have to look harder to properly archive the “CLEVELAND” font. Ah well, let’s hope the Guardians do the same thing the Brewers did and use their new font as a web font.
-
That reminds me, I do miss having @Gothamite around to debate NYCFC matters.

I would’ve just used ITC Avant Garde or Quorum. Quorum should be used more in things. -
It was the leaked one with forest green, not flag crap (unpopular opinion - Denver flag > Colorado flag). As long as purple and green don’t touch, we’re good.

I like that name. “American Premiership” has a more dignified ring to it than MLS.

What’s the over/under on them lasting longer than the AAF?

$100 gets you 5 terabytes of external hard drive, which sounds like an amazing deal to me. Instead of paying for three-five months of streaming, you can just pirate the stuff you want and keep it as long as you desire. Resist neo-cable. Re-embrace piracy.

What would say if a fan assassinated Ben Simmons?

At least the Sixers' arena doesn't spew sewage out into the lockers and they're not one foot out the door to Las Vegas.
-
Exactly. Hinkie was a flim-flam man, who resold basic tanking as a marketable brand for sports teams. The MBA-ization of all sports has had a negative impact on their watchability. I wouldn't blame a Philly fan for abandoning the Sixers during the peak process years.
-
Yeah, I can see why that might be an issue. The "EE" makes a better helmet logo (especially without the roundel), but keeping the Elk or its antlers around as an alternate might be nice.
-
Putting the elk logo on the helmet could've worked.

I love how Martha Stewart's passive-aggressive aura permeates every image of her.

Meanwhile, 1996’s The Fan used the Giants because it needed Wesley Snipes to be a Barry Bonds analogue. Also, the Giants were in a mediocre period between nearly winning the division in ‘93 and winning the division in ‘97. Visible because perennial MVP contender, but still mediocre enough and playing in an awful stadium.*

Well, he’s probably suiting up for a new team next season. Hopefully the Broncos, where he can wear a throwback-inspired uniform.
