  1. Fantastic work, both on your designs and on the new template. It's always great seeing the work you put out!
  2. Not able to post any images at the moment, but Stanford looks to have dropped the black outlines around the numbers. A slight, but very good improvement. The little amount of black on there felt so out of place.
  3. The "shadow"/black uniform is a bit redundant for a school that wears a darker shade of green primarily, but the overall look is pretty nice. I don't really have any complaints. Like it or not, Nike has pretty much hit it out of the park with all of their new designs, with a handful of exceptions (UCF and Cincinnati have been the only misses so far IMO). Florida State, Oklahoma State, Cal, Michigan State, Illinois, WKU, Ohio State... all of them will look pretty good this season. Just wish these were all on the old template instead of the FUSE.
  4. Not surprised with no new uniform, if the Broncos are indeed getting new ones next year. No need to rush it. Could see this helmet being a one-year thing. The helmet/uniform itself is fine. The helmet feels like it’s there just because they can. It matches the throwback style, so it at least looks at home somewhat (unlike the Saints’ attempt). It’s just hard to get excited about it. It’s not bad, just… boring? White helmets and “iced-out” branding is just so overplayed nowadays.
  5. Wasn't expecting the shoulder stripes treatment for Illinois, but not really any major complaints here. Maybe a bit similar to Syracuse, but it could be a lot worse. It's been a solid year for Nike so far , at least in the CFB realm.
  6. Throw in the red/yellow color scheme and the cheap looking rebrand and yeah, the jokes just write themselves.
  7. All I can think of for the jersey is Nebraska, but in maroon. Pretty underwhelmed here. I thought they had a good thing going by having gray in the color palette. Glad the Sather Stripe is staying! It's a great signature element that doesn't need to be changed. I think the Vapor FUSE template downgrades the look, but other than that, no complaints.
  8. A little underwhelmed by the choice of white, but there are worse options out there if this is indeed a variation of the Color Rush helmet. I'm interested to see how it will look with the full set, but I'm not expecting the most harmonious look.
  9. The wordmark across the chest feels overly big, but the more traditional design is an improvement, at least at first glance. Trajan wasn't the best choice for a football uniform.
  10. NBA In-Season Tournament was officially announced and... well let's just say that the branding isn't doing anything to change my mind about how I think this is just nothing more than a cash grab and doesn't really serve any purpose logistically and doesn't feel any more prestigious than being a one-seed for the playoffs. Feels like they pulled their punches here. The branding or name doesn't really excite me. I think they would have benefitted with a more unique or high-quality name. The Wilt Chamberlain Cup? The Bryant Memorial Tournament? Heck, even a corporate sponsor name like the would feel better (as much as I hate it). I hope they have a better marketing plan in place because as it stands right now, all the negative press it is getting so far feels warranted. Nothing being communicated currently tells me why I should care about it as a fan as opposed to any other regular season game or achievement. And yes, I know that this may be part of a strategy to also appeal to international fans by making something similar to the FA Cup, Carabao Cup, etc. by being an extra in-season competition, but this is still limited to a single league, rather than expanding to others. It's just an in-season playoff tournament that doesn't feel/won't be as important as winning the Larry O'Brien.
  11. This is probably going to be an unpopular opinion, but I do actually like the black-heavy look. The NBA is relatively purple-heavy, and especially in the Kings' conference (Lakers and Suns are also purple), so the black should help them look a little more distinguishable. Execution isn't 100% perfect, but I do love the script Kings logo. The silver is a bit much, as it feels like a bit of an afterthought on the side panels.
  12. Looks like the Broncos are sticking with the Vapor Untouchable template this year per their media day posts. Either the side panels aren't easy to replicate in the new template, or the Broncos are simply waiting for new uniforms next year. From what the signs are pointing to, maybe the latter?
  13. Drop shadow numbers? In this day and age? They seem to be a dying breed, so I’m glad they’ve been incorporated here.
  14. The new Toronto uniforms look more like a double-blue Oregon Ducks ripoff than something for a team named the Argos. It just doesn't look right.
  15. If no new uniforms specifically, I think we will still see new helmets. I think they've been flirting with gold chrome a bit on their social media and recruiting visits.
  16. Colorado State unveiled some new (long overdue?) uniforms. A bit more of a classic take; only gold pants, no gray alternates in sight, striping on the pants and sleeves. Not bad, it looks good in green and gold. Can't help but think that their rivals down in Boulder might feel a little ripped off though:
  17. Great idea, but I fear it might be too close to the NWSL San Diego Wave thematically. I don't see them going that direction.
  18. Would have loved them to go the old NASL route and pick up the Sockers names, but that's already taken by a local MASL team. Leaning into a Mexican-inspired club name/imagery would be a nice touch, although a "Club San Diego" is a bit generic. Maybe an Atletico/Club Atletico name? Or lean into the SoCal roots and go with San Diego Sol? Whatever name they go with, there's enough cultural heritage in SD to get a brand that's visually impactful and connects locally, as long as they don't over-corporatize it. I'm a proponent for a bright and bold color scheme with some Mexican visual elements included, given the city's proximity to the border and heavy Latino presence.
  19. The fact that the Nuggets' City whites have been worn more than the standard Association whites during the playoffs this year really bothers me. IMO, teams should really only be limited to their "standard" rotation (Icon/Association/Statement) during the playoffs, and especially the Finals. But since the City whites are already "iconic" for the WCF victory, I guess we can't escape it now. At least it seems the Heat got the memo about sticking to their identity.
  20. New Bay Area club unveiled their new brand and its... Bay FC. They didn't even try with this one. Also, its another Navy-heavy team, which adds onto a league that is very dark-color heavy. Not impressed here. The only good thing I can think of right now is the hidden bridge next to the B, but everything else just seems so generic.
  21. Probably the clunkiest of the final list of names, but also the one that requires the least bit of rework in terms of the branding. I hope I'm wrong, but they may just end up keeping the same group of logos as before.
  22. This idea doesn't solve all of the problems I have with the logo, but using just a simple silhouette design would have made the look feel less clipart-y and a bit more refined/professional. fifa world cup logo (designfootball.com)
  23. Oh, they were just working with whatever budget that was left over from the hundreds of millions of dollars that went into the "intensive design process" for this logo, while I could throw the same thing together in 2 minutes on Microsoft Powerpoint.
  24. They literally just searched "World Cup Trophy" and put the first image they saw over this. That's... really bad. They managed to take the LA 2028 logo and make the idea even more boring. It says nothing about the host nations, heck this even looks like a placeholder, not the actual final product. And I'm venturing that this "customization" for each city will be little more than just a color/simple pattern and the city name underneath. Leave it to us Americans to literally sanitize and pull the character out of event logos, it has happened with almost every major sporting event in the USA (Super Bowl, NBA Finals, All-Star Games, etc.) Compared to the creative approach of previous World Cup logos, this is an embarrassment. At least those said something about the host and its culture/identity. In contrast, I have no idea what this is supposed to communicate.
  25. Home. Freakin. Run. Took their most iconic look and added enough modern elements to make it feel fresh. Usually not a fan of having 2 jerseys of the same color (white), but it will work well with the combos they usually like to dish out. Wish the wordmark was a bit higher, but I guess that's the impact of the new template. Not too much of a nitpick. Just more proof you don't need to overdesign something to make it feel modern. Just stick with what works and tweak it from there.
