  1. Her work in general for the most part isn't awful. It isn't always my cup of tea, but she's done some nice work. There was a cool Lions logo that isn't particularly practical, but it was well done. I guess all I have to say on that end is that it's the world of concepting. I think her work is better than what many people put out, but at the same time, it's clear that she isn't as experienced or knowledgeable as other people who have been in the field longer or do it for a living at a high level. I think her Browns dog logo has some interesting ideas, but the linework isn't as smooth and it doesn't incorporate the idea of hidden elements as smoothly or effectively as @Htown1141 does, with them being subtle enough not to interfere with the look's natural flow, but also noticeable enough if you know what to look for.
  2. I just hope he doesn't do what he did at Jackson State and have 3 black jerseys, 3 white jerseys, and who knows what else. I do expect a chrome helmet or two though.
  3. I don't know exactly how popular/unpopular this opinion is, but I would prefer the Broncos to stay away from royal/powder blue when getting new uniforms for a couple of reasons: 1- Our division rivals in the Chargers already own powder blue, so just bringing it back would make us too similar to them, even if it used in a minimal capacity. The connection will be made. 2- For me, Broncos and powder/royal blue is like the Bucs and creamsicle. It's a nice look to bring back every once in a while, but it associated with a lack of success. I would much rather embrace a more successful color scheme. (And I might be biased, having grown up with orange and navy, I'll be honest). 3- Using more orange in the next uniform set would help distance the Broncos visually from the Bears. After all, there are a number of teams in the NFL that wear the same/similar colors but differentiate themselves by the color balance. Every Broncos fan already has a wardrobe decked out in orange, it would be good to embrace it more. Not to the point of an orange helmet, per say, but definitely using it more on the away uniforms.
  4. I like this analysis here. I can see the two trends you mention becoming more popular: mono-color and designs being more designer/street-wear minded. The whole point of uniforms now are the clicks and the money. Cohesiveness isn't in the cards anymore. It's what makes me worried about my Broncos next year. New uniforms are coming, but I'm worried that they'll completely miss the point. They might be one of the few teams that have a complete consensus on what they should look like (modernized Elway-era uniforms), but I fear that they'll veer off in a completely different direction. Now I don't know if the redesigns we've seen the last few seasons are more the product of Nike or the teams' ideas, but either way, I'm nervous.
  5. Shameless plug for a possible fix because... EDIT: @ramsjetsthunder great minds think alike, eh? Posted these at the same time.
  6. "Historical research" that resulted in absolutely nothing about these uniforms honoring the past.
  7. I was feeling decent through the away and alternates. Not perfect, but pretty solid. And then the homes came out and ruined my day. Those are awful. Can we stop giving every uniform a different design please? Also, those socks are begging for stripes.
  8. Nah it's just going to be "BIRDGANG" printed all over, just like the event graphics show
  9. At this point, there's so many different concept ideas that I'm convinced the Cardinals could go in any direction and look like someone's design. It's like the uniform lottery out there, we're just waiting for the right numbers.
  10. I would say if you're going for the bookend-style look for the wordmark, go for all caps, with bigger letters on the beginning and end. The mixed capitalization looks really wonky. I like the route this is going in so far though.
  11. I just find it funny that the way they promote sustainability is to create a "recycled" jersey that is only worn once and never again. Kinda dilutes the message, doesn't it? If the NHL can do the whole PrimeGreen thing with their regular jerseys, can't they do that with MLS products as well?
  12. I'm fully ready for the annual merchandise/promotional leak to happen before we ever get an official team release. It's become a rite of passage for any new major NFL redesign.
  13. It was announced a few months ago that a Herbie Husker update/redesign was in the works, with the idea being something along the line of bringing back the old overall/blue eyes/blonde hair look. The new suit will be unveiled tomorrow, but the new logo seemed to have already been leaked (with old retro Herbie logo for comparison): And the costume teaser pics: One thing is for certain: purist Husker fans are going to be very pleased. Gotta see the full suit, but the new logo at least accomplishes what a good modernization for Herbie should be. Keeps the right dimensions while cleaning up and sharpening a lot of the lines and angles. And for those wondering: Herbie changed to a "Number 1" gesture from the "Ok" last year in a quiet move, probably to avoid a connection to white supremacy groups.
  14. IMO, it's a downgrade compared to what they've worn the last couple of years. The MIZZOU across the front is too large and the switch to white numbers drains a lot of color from the uniform.
  15. The Seminoles are fantastic! Includes enough of the modern elements to feel current (I'm glad they didn't dump the pattern) while going for a more traditional layout that should please purists enough. I feel like there's something missing, like it could use a wordmark on the chest or move the TV numbers to the shoulders, but that's a very minimal criticism. Well done here.
  16. This could have been avoided if the Sounders just did the sensible thing and made the back of the new road uniform red, no?
  17. I would imagine this to be this case. Seems a bit short-sighted to drop the alternate black helmets after only a year after all of the extra details they worked to have on it.
  18. Ah yes, the first thing a new league needs when introduced: an intellectual property conflict right off the bat that could have easily been avoided with, oh I don't know, a google search? The "new" logo isn't much better either.
  19. The gray is a bit gimmicky IMO, but for a team that seems to have had an identity crisis for the better part of a decade, this is an improvement. Helmet could use a stripe though.
  20. Yeah, it's going to take a little bit of getting used to. The tailoring looks unorthodox for the NFL, especially for more traditional teams. Nike does offer a more horizontal chest/should tailoring on their catalogue, so I hope they pull that out for some of the teams.
  21. Deion Sanders posted a gold chrome Buffs helmet on his Instagram story. It was only a mini helmet, but I think the intention was clear. Chrome helmets probably likely this season. I much prefer the finish they've used the last few years, and I think chrome is too flashy for most teams to pull off, but if CU goes with the right uniform route, they may work. I just hope they don't use them for the Husker game. That needs to be classic Gold/Black/Gold vs White/White/Red. Also seems to be a teaser for new uniforms on his Instagram as well, using his "Look Good, Feel Good" moniker. @COACHPRIME on Instagram: “If you look good, you feel good #CoachPrime @cubuffsfootball”
  22. So the company that ruined retail NHL jerseys will now make the actual on-ice product? Who in the world thought that would be a good idea? What a downgrade.
