  1. If we’re going to continue to legislate away parts of the game of football, it would be good to legislate away some of the offense’s abilities for once.
  2. The biggest issue with the Broncos defense is that their footwork was shoddy. Rex Ryan is the man to improve that.
  3. You're the one who brought up how "at least the Pats and their fanbase weren't this arrogant" as if we're supposed to pretend the last two decades didn't happen no matter how much we wish we could. Of course I'm going to defend my fanbase, especially from such a patently ludicrous charge. Other people clowned on you, you doubled and tripled down and now everyone is taking the piss.
  4. Would it be better if we talked about sports in Austin, Texas instead?
  5. Hey, I'll enjoy the Walmart parade with all the other barefoot hicks while Philadelphia enjoys riots:
  6. What point am I ignoring? That you’re probably a troll and if you aren’t, you’re a fool?
  7. AngryJoe is a Cowboys fan IIRC so he probably has another reason to cheer against the Eagles. And even if he was a Chiefs fan, great, you found a bunghole on social media. That’s nothing anyone has seen before.
  8. We all know goddamn well that if the Eagles benefited, you wouldn’t be calling out anything. Quit being a sore loser.
  9. Mahomes’s ankle looks alright at least. Maybe enough toradol to get a rhino buzzed but it looks fine. And the Chiefs are back in it.
  10. Jeff Fisher had beyond all else "Jeff Fisher privilege" in that typically when teams would hire him they'd know the team wasn't going to be absolutely heinous. It was also not going to get past the Divisional Round if they even made it to the playoffs but at least the team wouldn't suck.
  11. Speak for yourselves as far as kids not watching sports. I was 8 years old and already watching Sportscenter religiously wondering who would win the home run record chase between Sosa and McGwire. Always loved going to Chiefs and Royals games growing up and would watch them on TV whenever I could. Even dabbled in fantasy football with my Dad and his work buddies. Am I an outlier? Probably, but I was a precocious little :censored:.
  12. 31 points is pretty impressive, I’ll give you that. The Eagles really are the best the NFC has and they may well be the best team in the NFL. The Chiefs secondary is a weakness but that’s due to inexperience more than a lack of talent. Give it a few years and it’ll be a strength. The Eagles receivers will definitely feast, though, I will not deny that. The Chiefs have also had issues containing mobile QBs in the past and I also expect Hurts to have a huge day on the the ground and in the air. Eagles win? He’s the MVP, no doubt about it. But here’s what I heard about the Eagles defense as amazing as it is: Their linebacking corps is a soft spot. And Travis Kelce is not only Mahomes’s most reliable target, he also excels in the medium range passing game around where linebackers tend to cover. I expect Kelce to have the game of his career. The Chiefs offense is also very focused on getting yards after the catch over yards down the field. So, you’ll see a lot of screens in order to try to neutralize the Eagles pass rush. The Chiefs are going to keep it close and I believe that they will win, but it is going to be a hell of a fight to do so.
  13. Eagles haven’t faced an offense with the potency of the Chiefs this year either. And as to who the teams that they beat with a winning record? @Detroit vs Minnesota vs Jacksonville vs Dallas vs Pittsburgh @Giants vs Giants vs Giants (Divisional Round) vs 49ers (NFC Championship) Not exactly murderer’s row and the only winning teams they beat away from Philly are the Lions and Giants. The only teams that come close to the Chiefs offense are Dallas and the 49ers and we know about how Dallas does in big games plus the 49ers were down to some 4th string journeyman. This will undoubtedly be the biggest test of the year for the Chiefs offense but also the Eagles defense.
  14. The economics of arena football don't remotely justify a national footprint. A set of regional leagues would work better and maybe you'd even have a championship between all these champions of their leagues. Or hell, maybe even have something like promotion and relegation in these leagues. It would at least make arena football different from gridiron football.
  15. Win it for Len! A bit of trivia: Len Dawson was the seventh son of a man who himself was a seventh son.
  16. I think that I have no effing clue what’s going to happen until kickoff. A lot can change in two weeks. Someone could get injured, injuries can heal. Maybe Duh Iggles will wipe the floor? Maybe the opposite happens? All I know is that ultimately I know nothing.
  17. When you’re the unchallenged king for 40-50 years, you tend not to innovate. The harsh reality is that the NFL won’t change unless it senses that there is an existential reason to.
  18. Ryan Succop was Mr. Irrelevant in the 2009 Draft and is still playing. Also won a Super Bowl with the Bucs against the team that drafted him so I’m going to say not yet. If Purdy wins the starting job? Yeah, I think he should definitely be considered.
