This idea imagines a world in which a team knows and/or cares what their opponent is wearing and makes decisions based on that knowledge. In all my (way too many) years of paying attention to sports uniforms I’ve never seen the slightest piece of evidence that any team give two seconds thought to what the other guys are wearing.

And who do you have taking them out? Especially in their first playoff game? Every other team in the NFC (Lions? Cowboys? Especially the Cowboys) have a much harder time when playing without an early lead. And the other NFC wildcard teams are likely to be an embarrassingly bad collection of undeserving pretenders

It is, definitely. . Comedy? (Debatable). You have to admit, to the rest of us whose fraudulent teams can barely string two wins together, 10 and 3, however you get there, seems hard to complain about.

I come into this thread and read that @BBTV says that Jalen Hurts (hopefully) just has Covid, and the Eagles’ OC has no idea what he’s doing. So naturally I decide to turn on the game to see this apparent disaster as it unfolds. Eagles up by a touchdown that Hurts ran in.

If you run right at this Dallas defense they just kinda crumble. Seems to me that even if you don’t have an especially good run game, you should still just plow right at them. Even the Cardinals did it.

Yeah, I saw where you said "maybe" they should. But I didn't see where you got indignant about Liberty's exclusion, and went on an extended discussion about why it's a travesty that teams with a worse record got in over them. It's almost as if... I dunno... deep down you know that records don't tell the whole story. But, honestly, I think we're all getting off the main point here. This year's playoff is not about having the most deserving team get crowned. It's about making sure, at all costs, that team isn't Michigan. Cheaters.

It isn't hard to grasp. They're just a lot of people (for instance, the committee who makes these decisions) who disagree with that premise. It isn't just about having a better record. And the truth is, you actually agree with that! You don't actually feel the record is all that matters, because if you did you'd be arguing just as vehemently for Liberty as you are for Florida State.

Oh, I know why you guys aren't bringing up Texas, and it makes sense. I was talking about why Unical wasn't bringing up Texas... because his rants are really just about hating Alabama and/or the SEC. But if there isn't any element of subjectivity in terms of conferences and schedules, if it really is only record on the field, why isn't Liberty the fourth team? I think we all know the answer to that... everyone can agree that Liberty's 13 - 0 doesn't equal FSU's 13 - 0. But if someone can subjectively decide that Liberty's 13 - 0 isn't as worthy as FSU's 13 -0, why can't they also decide that FSU's 13 - 0 isn't as worthy as Alabama's 12 - 1?

I'm not really arguing Alabama v Texas. I'm just saying it's disingenuous for Unical to keep claiming he wants fairness for FSU, while never once bringing up one-loss Texas getting in over FSU. It's clear he just hates Alabama and the SEC. (And trust me... I'm no fan of either of those things either, but come on...) As for your second point... I'm sorry, I just don't see it that way. I honestly don't think they put in Alabama just because they're Alabama, or because they had to get the SEC in there somehow. I think they put in Alabama because their stated mission is to have the four best teams, and they honestly came to the conclusion that Alabama is a better team. That Alabama's 12 and 1 record, when analyzed, was more impressive than FSU's 13 and 0 record. And the reason I believe that is because I came to the same conclusion. I'm no fan of Alabama or the SEC, but IMHO the totality of Alabama's season makes them appear to be a better team then the totality of FSU's. Which, I think, I was what we were after.

I was pretty happy to have the SB era Buccaneers' uniform back a few years ago, but somehow, I feel like the luster has worn off a bit. The pewter suffers quite a bit from Nike's materials, and they make dull combo choices. Anyway, this is attempt to bring in more orange without just going back to the old creamsicles full time.
