Sebastianm
This is for any main theme from an official broadcasting company that covers professional sports and their themes for the sports. I’ll get it it started, the NFL on NBC theme from 1995-1997 is simply spectacular!

TrueYankee26
I agree with @Sebastianm it sounds majestic. And for its three year run it is associated with a lot of notable NFL moments: the Raiders 1st season back in Oakland, Original Browns leaving for Baltimore, the Ravens first season, and John Elway finally winning a Super Bowl. Cujo
Idk about underrated, but short-lived -- this was one i wish had stuck around longer
TrueYankee26
To think, a lot of non-RR NBC theme songs and basketball songs from 1990-2002 will be forgotten or underrated. Quote trueyankee26.wordpress.com

I gave my boss a proposal for a project that would modernize our data center which would reduce down time to <1%, decrease annual maintenance costs by >$5M, and enable cloud-based functionality that would revolutionize our mobile presence. Her response? "well, it's no Roundball Rock, but I guess we should do it anyway. Next time try harder." 2 1 1 Quote "The views expressed here are mine and do not reflect the official opinion of my employer or the organization through which the Internet was accessed." BBTV
On a serious note, the Flyers used this one for a few seasons. It's very Roundball Rock-esque and I think it worked really well for a hockey broadcast: 1 Quote "The views expressed here are mine and do not reflect the official opinion of my employer or the organization through which the Internet was accessed." Ferdinand Cesarano
The closing theme to This Week in Baseball, entitled "The Gathering Crowds", is the most inspirational piece of music I have ever heard. Not only is it beautiful in its own right (oh, those timpanis!), but it is associated with great memories of baseball's golden age.
Cujo
You knew it was late-January when this music rolled around

I thought it didn't come in till later when they really started pushing ESPNABC synergy, but I could be wrong. It does sound extremely Kalehoffian, and he was certainly doing a lot of themes in the late '80s.
