My goodness, I've noticed things are slower around these boards lately, eh? But that won't stop me from making this post.

Nothing yet.

The main sports stuff I have been getting at flea markets lately is old yearbook, programs.

Anyone able to identify this hat? Found at a thrift store in Ontario, Canada. The logo looks like a rip-off of Worcester Polytechnical's Gompei the Goat, so I'm assuming its a fairly obscure local team. It fits like a glove, but I'd love to know what team I'm repping because I've already been asked a couple of times.

So I broke through and found a Seattle Mariners spring training cap with the trident in the current colors for $16, the Dallas Stars 1998-2007 "star" jersey for $20, and a Cincinnati Reds current style jersey with the name SCHUELER and the #66 on it for $20. Nice. :)

EDIT: It's likely the Reds jersey was a custom one, as my research has found out nobody with that name has ever worn that number for the team.

I found the 2010-15 Toronto Maple Leafs jersey for $15, and a 1983-94 Kansas City Royals BP jersey w/the name REESE and #61 on the back, with this autograph on the front:

Who is it?

Also, I turned down a 2010s $22 Seattle Mariners BP jersey (with the name Phillips and the #62), since I have one like it already.

Seems like it was a minor-league player who never made the bigs, as no one with the last name Reese was in the MLB during the years you mentioned. This was probably autographed during spring training one year.

Seems to be Kyle Reese, who hung around the minors for 8 years without ever making it above AA

Well, I got an Arizona Diamondbacks sweater and Seattle Kraken jersey for $20 each, and a minor league cap whose team I cannot recognize for $10:

And this one, which I did not get because it didn't fit me:

Anybody know who these teams are?

This is the New Britain Rock Cats. Former AA affiliate of the Twins. They have since moved to Hartford to become the Yard Goats.

This is the Round Rock Express as the Chupacabras for MiLB's "Copa de la Diversion." They're in the Rangers' System

Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.

Just bought a rare, unused Blue Jackets jersey for $40. It's in the mail right now, but here's a picture from the seller. It's got a stain on the front, which I hope I can get out, but the jersey is otherwise pretty sweet.

https://media-photos.depop.com/b1/12745076/1476766853_b5a1b805c837452c8b9149e1175e162c/P0.jpg

According to the Columbus Blue Jackets Game Worn Jersey Guide, these Pro Player jerseys were made for the initial uniform unveiling, but the team switched to CCM and Koho for their real inaugural season. The Pro Player jerseys were very similar to the eventual design the team used, but they featured light horizontal bands across the jersey that reflect some of the Blue Jackets prototype jerseys that have cropped up online in recent years.

Is it the most flashy or obvious prototype jersey out there? No, but I think the horizontal stripes look cool and I wish the team would've actually used them. Plus, I've been on the hunt for a cheap jersey with the Stinger patches for the longest time, so this jersey is a score and a half for me.
