4_tattoos
Another PVF game with little contrast between the teams Atlanta in light gray sleeveless jerseys (libero in black). San Diego in white long sleeve jerseys (libero in royal blue). On top of that San Diego's jerseys have yellow numbers. Couldn't find any in game photos yet, but these are the jerseys. Sodboy13
Volleyball is a sport where the contrast between teams doesn't matter quite as much, like baseball. Players of a given team are always going to be on one side of the net or the other, not intermingling. The contrast issue applies more to distinguishing the libero from the other five. That said, strictly on aesthetics, I don't want two similarly dressed teams facing each other on the court, either, and it shouldn't be that tough an ask in a seven-team league. 11 Quote On 1/25/2013 at 1:53 PM, 'Atom said: For all the bird de lis haters I think the bird de lis isnt supposed to be a pelican and a fleur de lis I think its just a fleur de lis with a pelicans head. Hopefully we don't end up with another matchup of similar uniforms tonight with San Diego vs Omaha. Based on games played so far and promotional material San Diego has 2 light colored jerseys (white and yellow) and 1 dark jersey (royal blue), while Omaha has 2 dark jerseys (red and navy blue) and a white jersey. Worse case scenario, both teams decided to wear white. Even potential royal blue vs navy blue, or yellow vs white matchups have enough contrast so fans shouldn't have to wonder which team is which. There shouldn't be a repeat of the Fury/Rise and Mojo/Vibe games based on the possible jersey matchups. Personally hoping to see yellow vs red tonight Quote Hotter Than July > Thriller
4_tattoos
Good looking game. Omaha in white (liberos in red/purple), San Diego in blue (liberos in yellow). 4 Quote Hotter Than July > Thriller

Quote player on an indoor volleyball team who serves as a defensive specialist and is not allowed to serve or rotate to the front line. The libero wears a different colour jersey from the rest of the team and is thus easily recognizable. There are several other unique rules regarding the position. In the picture in my last post the player in red is the libero for the team in white. Quote Hotter Than July > Thriller

They also can sub in and out without counting towards the substitution limit. Here's a video from the NCAA about the basic libero rules. I'm not 100% sure, but I doubt the PVF changed any of the college rules.

4_tattoos
Good looking game right now. Omaha in red/purple/blue (liberos in white) vs Vegas in white/gold (liberos in what I can best describe as a dark teal). Omaha should have made their jersey numbers white instead of navy blue. 2 Quote Hotter Than July > Thriller

They can attack but they cannot be above the net when they do so. At high levels of vb, this usually means they don't score points when attacking but it is possible. 2 Quote 73, 77, 81, 83, 90, 06 29, 30, 31, 36, 39, 44, 61, 62, 65, 66, 67, 96,
MiK
Not wild about any of the franchise looks. New leagues always go too far, too busy, too many colors. Simplify it down - look to the successful pro leagues to create strong brands. No more than two prominent colors, have supporting accent colors if needed to differentiate. Will be interesting to see how LOVB brands compare once those are fully released. 2 Quote 73, 77, 81, 83, 90, 06 29, 30, 31, 36, 39, 44, 61, 62, 65, 66, 67, 96,

The league and sport demographics are completely different. What appeals to one, does not automatically appeal to the other. 2 Quote https://dribbble.com/MakaioCall
MiK
The league and demographic must sure love gradient I see your point and it's good perspective. To further counter my own point - XFL2.0 went too simple and gave us clip art logos. At least these are thoughtful in their design. Still too many colors for Columbus (-Grey), Omaha (-purple), Orlando (-Grey again!). And seriously, cool it with the gradient. 4_tattoos
OT: I want to believe there is an alternate timeline where instead of WWE, the World Wrestling Federation changed it's name to "Pro Wrestling Federation". To me "Federation" was the part of their brand they should have maintained rather than "WW". 2 Quote Hotter Than July > Thriller
4_tattoos
Good contrast tonight. Atlanta in red (liberos in white) vs Grand Rapids in white (liberos in navy blue) SN: I kinda hope women's volleyball transitions to loose fitting shorts like in the men's side simply for the sake of opening up more uniform possibilities as far as colors go. You pretty much only see black or navy blue tights in women's VB. Even with teams that don't wear dark colors otherwise. 1 Quote Hotter Than July > Thriller
4_tattoos
Tonight's matchup. There was enough contrast between each team to visually tell them apart. Orlando's liberos were in light blue, while Vegas' liberos were in white. Quote Hotter Than July > Thriller
