The exact same image, from HS to college. They might have orginated it...I'll agree with most the picks though, those are helmets when you see them, you know who they are for right away. He breaks away from a lightining bolt and around the K to look much better thatn half the teams on the top ten IMO. Even the redone Zippy is better than half. winghaz Posted November 20, 2004 Share Posted November 20, 2004 Methinks Michigan isn't there because, even though there's no question that you identify that design with Michigan (even the hockey team wears that design on its helmets), it really has nothing to do with Michigan or Wolverines. Granted, I'm guessing that's why they didn't put Michigan in the top five. I'm guessing they went by design itself and not by tradition.As for the top picks, it's tough to argue with most of them. That's a great silhouette of a longhorn on the Texas helmet. Air Force has had one of the coolest designs with that lightning bolt. The one design you could argue the most with is USC's as that Trojan head is kind of tough to see, almost as if it needs to be bigger.If I were to pick a top five, I'd consider tradition.
