There is no creativity at all in this concept... a skyline with 3 randomly placed transparent images? not good, not good at all

What happened to the days where posters put lots of thought, time and effort into a design before posting it?

Ouch there CC.

As Billy Madison would say. A simple wrong would have been ok

what are you talking about? its brilliant! the shapes of the logos follow the skyline perfectly! this is the best thing ever that only took 1 minute to make!

yeah, i used to churn out stuff constantly. now i take my time. its just like making love. the longer you last, the better it is. just like for a logo, the longer you take, the better it is, usually.

That's pretty sweet. However, as a thought, maybe you can try to make it look like the logos are on the buildings. The Cavalier sword would look great on the building to the right of where it currently is. And, maybe throw in another logo, like the Barons.

Well, congrats on moving out of paint. However this is not post worthy. It's great if your just playing around photoshop learning what each features but again it's something you should post.

You you do a concept or design you should ask yourself if it's postworthy or is this something that is going to waste bandwith. If it's something that is going to waste bandwith you shouldn't post it. Use it to build upon but you don't have to show us everything.

What? It IS his first attempt at this. I like it. Maybe add some transparent players or something.

fluff all...the negative critiques serve to make him step up his game.

yes, it's his first sig. great. but not everyone has to say it's great, or even good, which it isn't. take the negative and rework it to make a positive out of it. designers hear every day what clients don't like, and we work with that and make it better.

agreed...we arent here to molly-coddle people... he stepped out from paint good for him... but does that mean we are too tell him he coudl give Simon or Bosack a run for their money... no... remember if you are going post something you have to be prepared for critiques both positive and negative... it doesnt matter if you have a logo in the AHL, local beer league, or you own fantasy league... if you want to get better you have to take the criticism and rejections... they suck but they are apart of life...

If I were to offer anything, I would say that the first thing I would do to this is find another picture of the skyline. Try to find something wide, but not as wide as to make people scroll over to see it all. It's probably about as tall as you want it. That'll give you the space to make it appear less crowded and be more creative if you like.

But whatever you do, make sure you have fun with it.
