IceCap Posted August 17, 2005 Share Posted August 17, 2005 The Cowboys' uniforms look like the uniforms a nine-year-old plays in in his local pee wee league with the white number and white outline, the fact that the numbers are almost the only white element of the uniform, and all the mismatched colors and such. Yeah right... Those Cardinal uniforms look MUCH better than the Cowboys road uniforms. actually they do. at least all the colours in the cards unis match. vini Posted August 17, 2005 Share Posted August 17, 2005 i like the number style and the pant stripe.. the only thing i take issue with is the facemask it should be black and the road sock should be white with some stripes. hey that logo on the back of the jersey does'nt look all that bad either . i was'nt sure if i would like that but i think it works. The Cowboys could show up wearing pink, green and purple and their overall design would still look better than the Cardinals new uniforms. It's about more than colors matching. It's about looking like an NFL team. Sure the Cowboys colors aren't perfectly matched but their uniforms are among the best in all of football. And I don't even like the Cowboys. I never thought id say this but, it needs metallic paint, a red facemask, and maybee some fading Titans style stripes for it to look good with those rediculously modern jerseys. The Cardinals DO use Metallic White helmets, and have since 2001 or 2002. And, it looks like they might be using metallic decals on the helmet as well. I'll look into it. vini Posted August 17, 2005 Share Posted August 17, 2005 hey pantone i can't remember what side of the facemask debate did you fall on the red or black? and i do believe the decal is metallic it is for the mini helmets which are pretty accurate for every team. i was a big black facemask guy however when you see the whole uni together in game on the field red maybe the choice. vini Posted August 17, 2005 Share Posted August 17, 2005 see i use to be a grey facemask guy before they changed their uniforms to something more modern. grey works for teams that go retro like the giants or have maintained basically the same look since the days of grey facemask like the colts. once the cards did change their unis i was thinking black was the way to go but now i have to say i'm officially endorsing red not like m. bidwill gives a f--k. Oh, wow, the Cardinals did flip the pants stripe upside down but all in all they look pretty damn similar, especially to more casual observers (i.e. the huge number of people who don't read boards like this one). vini Posted August 17, 2005 Share Posted August 17, 2005 actually it's a completely different pant stripe not just flipped upside down. the falcons stripe starts out as piping straight and the near the very end opens into a small triangle . the cards start out as a thick stripe and swoops and curves and tapers down to just piping while almost curving into the fromt of the knee completely different style striping my friend. the simlarities are really in the fact they both use piping which alot of new designs have as a matter of fact if you want to be accurate they are both copying the miami hurricanes who i believe started the piping trend in football uni's .they also both share the same team colors but there is nothing you can do about that. the designs are quite different. i have a white cards jersey and a white falcons jersey and i have to tell you they are DIFFERENT. You know, I went through that garbage too (being picked on, that is) until I started taking kids on in Madden using the Cardinals. The casual football fan knows the cardinals have white helmets and the falcons have black. That's it, the argument that they look the same needs to stop.
