Anomalied
Too many MLB teams wear red, but none wear maroon. I combined the old logos and colors with the current script and uniform format. Lemme know what you think.

scooter13
I am not a fan of the old "P" logo. But I do like the idea of going back to maroon. Jigga
Good concept overall, but it just doesn't stand out. However, I love that Alternate!I just think the current P is much better (especially with the star on each side of it). I have always liked the maroon, that made them unique. The stars in place of the dots on the "i" and the use of blue are what make the current set stand out as well. On January 16, 2013 at 3:49 PM, NJTank said: Btw this is old hat for Notre Dame. vicfurth
It's a good, basic concept. I like the use of maroon. It's quite the unique color in the MLB. However, the uniform is also very bland and it lacks creativity. The color just sits there like, "Okay, I'm maroon... Now what?" What if you brought in an accent color to make the maroon pop? I would try a silver or even an old gold.

Audiodrama
Just to be straight...that's not a true maroon. That's a bit more tinted towards a purple/pink hue than maroon normally is. I realize it's what the Phils used to wear...but still.
Lumbergh
i love that, you should e-mail the idea to the club, because your right, too many teams use the red and blue.

HurricaneDavid
The old P is at a bit of an angle, so it doesn't match the straight-up P that you have on the jerseys. If you put a shear on the "hillies" to match the angle of the old P, it would probably look better. I like the colors, though.
Pat
Make it the same P on the cap as it is in the wordmark. Then get Philadelphia on the roads. Then ditch the white around the stripes on the greys, and this is perfection.Nice work. Proud owner of the Utah Pioneers of the Continnental Baseball League.PACKER BACKER FOREVER! VitaminD
[beating a dead horse] trying to force old logos and modern logos to co-exsist onto one concept never works. why does everyone still do it though? [/beating a dead horse] ICS beat me to it, but this is another example of what is well on its way to being a Golden Rule:THOU SHALT NOT MIX & MATCH LOGOS FROM DIFFERENT ERAS.The cap "P" does not look like the jersey "P". The cap "P" also had a custom-designed script that went with it. The present wordmark has a "P" that is meant to go with it. They were never intended to be seen together, because they don't look good together. The Phillies have worn red since 1883, save 1942 and the Maroon Years. Why should they give up their colors? And what is wrong with American teams choosing to wear red, white and blue? And for the record, milton/lumberg, the Pirates and Giants went with a comprehensive throwback look. They didn't mix and match anything. So you missed ICS's point. If the Pirates were guilty of what you accused them of, they'd be wearing gold pillbox hats from the '70s with the vests from the '60s and the script "Pittsburgh" from the '80s. THAT is mixing eras. What they did is faithfully try to re-introduce a classic look from the same era. "Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today... Won't get to be a part of it... In old New York..."In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17.
Shumway
I like the use of maroon/cranberry, whatever you wanna call the color. The only thing that kind of bothers me is the use of the old "P" with the current script for the rest of the word. I'd say pick one style...personally, I'd go with the font they used when they actually wore cranberry. It stands out as a font, many teams have script. I'm not knocking script or anything, because I love jerseys that use it. I'm just a fan of the font used when the Phightin's used that "P". real_henry
I really like the maroon and i think they could pull it off very easily. I'd be curious to see how it might work with the modern P.
gueman
Interesting...but the P on the jersey, in that script looks like a part of the male anatomy. Unless that was the look you were going for. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Giving money and power to government is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys. P. J.
