Arizona vs. Utah

I don't hate the wraparound, but I think jerseys look better without it. I kinda hope it doesn't spread to the NFL though.

Not as long as Reebok / adidas has the NFL contract.

I don't think the jerseys quite match the helmets, but the sparkle helmets change color under the lights. It's definitely closer than last year, though.

If possible, I think Arizona's jerseys look even worse in action than in the publicity photos.

bottom line is, everything does not look good.

im all for the innovation and the creativity but the damn lines going through the back hte the uniforms is just flat out ugly.

Miami's especially.

and it almost never actually fits the player properly...a lot of players where those back flap protection things and it just gets stuck in there or fat players you can't even see it...it's not a good look

Can't say I like either new design, but I can also say that they're not as dislikable as I imagined they'd be looking at the renderings and still photos. The ridiculous striping needs to be taken down a notch or two. Maybe the tipping point is coming; remember when BYU trotted out those ridiculous "bib" jerseys, which were equal parts dark blue and white? That design got nixed, and if there are poor sales and nobody's supporting these, they'll fade as well.

"Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today... Won't get to be a part of it... In old New York..."

In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17.

Arizona State, at least we do it right

Yeah, Arizona State got their slightly wacky uniform design out of the way a few years ago, IIRC. Also, I noticed when I saw the game on ESPNU that the big Utah logo at midfield didn't have the feathers, or at least I think it didn't. Is this old news or possibly a reaction to the whole nickname situation?

Random question from left field - The game was in Utah but the picture shows a football with an Arizona logo on it. Does each team bring a certain number of footballs to the game or is this just an odd occurence?

i think when a team is offense, they use their balls. I am not 100% sure.

in retrospect, Michigan State's 03 unis weren't that bad.  come to think of it

Worst uniforms ever.

no i liked them MUCH better then anything more recently but take away that top stripe on the shoulder and only have the 2 shoulder stripes and its not so bad i think

when those msu unis first came out I hated them, thought they were the stupidest thing ever on a football field. Place it next to some of the more recent uniform releases and it doesn't look that bad.

Don't quote me on this, but I think the O provides the ball at college. That's the way it is around high schools around where I live.

Usually teams bring their own balls to use. They break the balls in at practice, get used to them and use them in the game. Usually whenever there is a fumble and the defense recovers you see the Refs toss that ball back to the sidelines of the team that just lost the fumble
