slats7
I saw a pic of Matsui with a patch on his right sleeve. Anyone know why?
Survival79
In an MLB-wide effort to draw attention to Hurricane Katrina relief, the Yankees and Devil Rays wore a Red Cross symbol on their helmets. The Yankees also had a Salvation Army patch on their right sleeves. "If things have gone wrong, I'm talking to myself, and you've got a wet towel wrapped around your head." Andy
Anybody else think this makes Bernie look like he's just been placed on the disabled list, or is it just me? You're probably going to get crap for that, but I laughed.
Swiss
Ha ha ha ha! Good joke. But it'd very good that every MLB team must use that patch until the end of this year (including playoffs and WS).Add the NBA, NFL and NHL teams that are going to start their playing seasons. slats7
Thanks for the info. I wonder if this is a "rest of the season" type of deal.
tmorss9
I would guess this is only for tonight, with the benefit concert going on. "Hats for bats. Keep bats warm. Gracias"
Perfect Zero
One word, Retarded. Yeah, I'm all for support for the relief, but there are two things wrong with this. one, the Batting helmet thing is totaly out of wack, it needs to be moved somewhere else. Second, the Red Cross is a worthless organization that is only in it for the money. Give to charities that give the money to the cause, not to the workers.
