-kj
Looks like the RRs have jerseys:Blue jerseyWhite jerseyThey're very similar to the IHL Phoenix Roadrunner jerseys, including the same logo and same striping pattern, but they've darkened the blue considerably. The version in their online store (shown above) has no shoulder trim, and a Toronto logo on the shoulders. However, their mascot seems to be wearing a version with shoulder trim, which is what the team wore in Phoenix, though his has the updated colours:Rocky the RoadrunnerOne has to wonder why they still have a desert theme in their online store logo, though I guess it ties into the Road Runner from the old-school WB cartoons. Phil
If I remember correctly, there was a newspaper clipping that we saw that had a jersey not unlike this one in it... I think at the time we expected a real jersey to be unveiled, that these would just be the temporaries for promotional purposes. I guess I was wrong. -kj
The Phoenix Roadrunners used a much lighter blue, closer to a Honolulu blue than the navy they're now going to use.Pictures of the Phoenix jerseys:WhiteBlueBlack alternateA team in the league I play in uses the white and black versions of these.Good call on the Oiler colours, I didn't even notice. They do look the same. Buy some t-shirts and stuff at KJ Shop! DEAD!
I've only looked at these jerseys from the website. I'm no quite sure what to make of the "Toronto" shoulder patch. I'm hoping to find a jersey somewhere in downtown Toronto soon. Does anyone remember the "training" jerseys that the Roadrunners used in their final days in Phoenix? How about these jerseys? I saw, I came, I left.

yh
The ones on the left make me wonder whether Phoenix bought out the surplus California Golden Seals sweaters after they moved to Cleveland. As for the new Toronto set, they look very sharp.
-kj
Hm, upon further review, looks like it's a Roadrunner patch of some sort on the right shoulder, and the Toronto patch on the left. Phil
A modernization wouldn't hurt the logo IMO. Keep the same idea and elements like the Seahawks did, while bringing the logo into the 21st century. It has aged remarkably well... just think how many other WHA logos are still around. -kj
It's not a horrible logo, though it still does have a 70s look to it.Only major problem I have is.. WHY MUST YOU PUT "ROADRUNNERS" ON THE FRICKIN' JERSEY?!?!Sorry, this my brown, if you will. Why must teams slap a name on there when they have an otherwise perfectly workable logo? DEAD!
I think putting "roadrunners" is necessary. Would you know what kind of bird it is if the name wasn't there. Would you know a thrasher is if you didn't know the name of the team? I saw, I came, I left.
