DGivens87
I have this same exact jersey (Nike version), and the lettering on the back is the same. Kinda weird, yeah, but I guess it's because his last name is too long for the back.
sacker12
Yep, his name is just like that on the actual game jersey. I've seen it myself a few times.
VandyDelphia Mike
Happens to this guy too. Part of it also has to do with the Suns' striping pattern though.
BBTV
Which is why it actually makes sense for basketball jerseys to have the player name under the number in a straight line. All most too much sense.

All most too much sense. How would that improve the jerseys pictured? It would have to be a 12 point font for the names to fit across in a straight line in they require such a ridiculous exaggerated arch to fit them on top. BBTV
I think if you took the letters and arranged them straight under the number, you'd be surprised at how close it comes to fitting. I don't think the arch saves much room at all horizontally. If it didn't fit, they'd do it the same way most NFL teams do, with slightly thinner letters for the really long names. Cianfrocco
NFL teams can at least get away with stretching the name onto the shoulders, or even part of the sleeve. Tank tops present a bit of a problem there.

VandyDelphia Mike
Long live overly exaggerated RAL!(or is this just an excuse to trot out the alma mater's gear?)
TenaciousG
The game-worn jersey looks fairly normal with the name going down past the top of the numbers. In my opinion it's a pretty poor replica.
